20 Strange Objects Whose Real Purpose Only Some People Can Guess

The world is full of artifacts designed to fulfill a certain function, but not everyone knows about it. Therefore, there are times when we come across some new things for which we do not find logic at first sight. But luckily there is always someone on the Internet with an accurate answer to this type of question, bringing new knowledge to everyone.

1. “Does anyone know what this is? It belongs to my grandmother. She has two pincers and spins”

Answer: It is a device for twisting the yarn and making fringes of wool (for scarves) or thread (for tablecloths).

2. “This was in a box I got from my aunt and belonged to my grandparents. Do you know what this is about?”

Answer: It is a bag hanger to be used on chairs.

3. “I found this in a store, it’s plastic and has a funnel on the handle. It looks like a support of something, but I don’t know what. The funnel is making me rack my brains. The staff did not help me, no one knew what it was”

Answer: It’s a cleaning product holder. The funnel is for filling the refillable spray bottles.

4. “I found it two meters underground in a basement over 100 years old. Does anyone know what this is?”

Answer: It is a traditional Chinese soy sauce jar.

5. “I ordered this collar and it came with these weird hoops. They don’t mention them on the page or on the packaging. It’s for a small dog. Does anyone know what the rims are for?”

Answer: It’s a butter dish.

19. “What is this wooden thing? We recently bought the house and the previous owner left it there. I assume it has something to do with the oven, because it’s hanging on the side. No visible marks”
