20+ Paquitas then and now, celebrating 35 years of the “position” most desired by girls at the time (+ bonus on Paquitos)

The Paquitas were, along with Xuxa, the great stars of TV and of the programs that Loira presented in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. The first Paquita, who entered the program to be a type of “girlfriend” of the puppet “Paquito ”, ended up pleasing the public and the group has only grown since then. Later, boys were included in the attraction to leave the girls sighing with passion.

1. Andréa Veiga — Paquita 1

Andréa was the 1st Paquita and was Xuxa’s stagehand while still on TV Manchete at “Clube da Criança”. Who conceived and selected the girl was the director of the program, Marlene Mattos, who chose her because of her great resemblance to Xuxa. She was on the cover of a men’s magazine after leaving the show and continued to make appearances as an actress, reporter and presenter.

2. Ana Paula Guimarães — Catuxa

She was chosen for the 1st group of Paquitas of the program on Globo; for the selection, a contest was held on the program in 1987. Ana left 2 years later to focus on her acting career and ended up identifying with the work of director. She formed the group Three Dance and performed with two ex-Paquitas. She also started directing soap operas on Globo and some films on Xuxa and today she still works on TV.

3. Louise Wischermann — German Pituxa

Still in the 1st generation, Louise stayed in the group for 2 years and left to study theater in Germany at the Gmelin München Acting Studio. Back in Brazil, she acted in Brazilian soap operas such as: “Filhos do Sol” and “Aquarela do Brasil”. In the year 2005, she found out that she has multiple sclerosis and gives interviews on various programs talking about how she has been coping with the disease.

4. Ana Paula Almeida — Pituxita

The first Paquita of the 2nd generation. She was part of the movie “Sonho de Verão” and after leaving the program she still tried her artistic career, doing shows with other ex-Paquitas. She took a break from her career to prepare for the arrival of her 1st child and was a gospel singer, but recorded only one CD. Today, she is divorced and is dedicated to the career of Plus Size Model.

6. Priscilla Couto — Catuxita Top Model

Priscilla was part of several works while on the show. Catuxita recorded songs and participated in films together with Xuxa. She stayed from 1987 until 1995, when she started the contest for the 3rd generation. After leaving the program, she studied Fashion in Spain and, back in Brazil, she played shows with the ex-Paquitas. Years later, she left everything to go to law school and now practices the profession.

7. Tatiana Maranhão — Paquitita Loura

Our eternal Paquitita Loura debuted in 1987 in the 2nd generation of Paquitas. She was the first to enter as a brunette and became blonde over time; it is thought that this was a requirement of management. Tatiana stayed at “Xou da Xuxa” until 1990 and after leaving, Xuxa paid for her journalism school and today she works as a press officer for Rainha dos Baixinhos.

8. Stephanie — Tété

Stephanie had the dream of almost every girl at the time: to be Paquita. It was for this reason that the girl from Curitiba went to Rio de Janeiro to try for the job. She stayed from 1999 until 2000, and after she left the show, she studied and is now an actress and journalist. Stephanie still writes for a news agency and on social media about the vegan world and animal protection.

9. Gisele Delaia — Miss Queimados

Gisele inaugurated the “New Generation”. She was already a model when she was selected to be Xuxa’s assistant. She stayed in the group for 5 years and then pursued an acting career and returned to modeling. For at least 3 years, the girl from the Baixada Fluminense who became Paquita has been living in Canada. She dedicates herself to writing a blog that talks about the mother’s routine and tells what it’s like to be a Brazilian abroad.

10. Graziela Schmitt — Grazi Modelão

Grazi was also part of the “New Generation” group and only spent 4 years in the most coveted position for girls at the time. She left the show to pursue her acting and modeling career; she studied in Japan and returned to Brazil in 2002. She did some work in “Sandy e Júnior” and “Malhação” at Globo, and at SBT she was the protagonist of the soap opera “Amor & Revolution”. Today she works on Rede Record, in the miniseries “Lia”.

11. Lana Rhodes — Little Goat

Lana inaugurated the group of Paquitas “Geração 2000” and stayed 3 years in the show. When she left, she devoted herself to the profession of actress. Some time later, she started singing and was a finalist in the reality show “Ídolos” from SBT. As an actress, she made the soap opera “Alta Estação” on Rede Record. Since 2016, she has joined the cast of Rede Globo and her last work was in the miniseries “Se Eu Clos os Olhos Agora”.

12. Letícia Barros — Lexinha

Letícia was also part of the 4th and final phase of Paquitas, “Geração 2000”, and remained from 1999 to 2001. She was very captivating and was very successful at the time, but even so, she left the stage and TV life. Letícia studied Psychology and is an HR analyst in Rio de Janeiro at a large multinational company based in France.

13. Diane Dantas — Lady Di

Diane stayed on the show for 3 years and her departure still causes controversy. She was the only one who didn’t say goodbye to Xuxa. Years later, Di told in an interview that everything was very fast and that she left because she went to college and was going to start the course. Today she is a lawyer specializing in taxes, contributions and fees.

14. Caren Lima — Chaverinho

Caren was the famous Chaveirinho da Xuxa and one of the presenter’s favorites. She stayed on the show for 5 years and returned years later at Loira’s request. In 2014, she again became the stage assistant of the Rainha dos Baixinhos and a while later she left the media for good. She majored in Journalism and has been out of the spotlight for some time.

15. Gabriella Ferreira — Paquita Perua

Gabriella was part of the “Generation 2000” group and the nickname “perua” was because of her predilection for leopard clothing. She was assistant to Rainha dos Baixinhos for 3 years and left because of the show’s closure. Gabriella continued as a stage assistant and in the production of Xuxa’s programs for a while. She is now out of the media, got married and has a daughter.

16. Joana Mineiro — Jô

Joana was a member of “Geração 2000” and spent 3 years as Loira’s assistant. She tried out for an acting career and got some work in plays, but didn’t get very far. Her big dream was to graduate in Journalism and she managed to get into college a while later. Today she is a press officer for a city hall in the Baixada Fluminense.

17. Roberta Cipriani — Xiquitita Surfista

18. Flávia Fernandes — Paquitita Pluft

Flávia has very fair skin and that’s why she was nicknamed Paquitita Pluft, in reference to the Fantasminha in the work of Brazilian writer Maria Clara Machado. She was chosen to take the place of Tatiana Maranhão. After her departure from the show, she worked as a presenter on SBT, did advertisements and was a model. Flávia graduated in Law and is currently away from the small screen.

19. Andrezza Cruz — Dezza or Bocão

Bocão stayed in the group for 5 years, between 1995 and 2000. After leaving Xuxa’s assistant, Andrezza started working as an assistant director in programs also on Globo. Later, he opened a dance academy in the city of Duque de Caxias in the Baixada Fluminense with a partner.

20. Thalita Ribeiro — Stick

Thalita was Paquita Varetinha and was part of the last phase of the Paquitas. She spent 3 years on the Xuxa show and continued on the small screen as part of the cast of “Malhação”, “América”, “Luz do Sol” and “Caras e Bocas”; she also presented for a while the “TV Globinho”. Later, she graduated as a journalist, married actor and director Patrick de Oliveira and currently works as a reporter at RedeTV.

21. Daiane Amendola — Sweetie

Daiane only spent 3 years as Loira’s assistant, but continued as a stage assistant on the program until the end of it at the station. After her departure, she got a spot as one of the dancers of “Domingão do Faustão” and also participated in the competition “Dança dos Famosos”. Today, the former Paquita is part of the staff of the Silvio Santos Program at SBT.

Bonus: Where are the Paquitos?

Robson Barros was better known as “Rob” and was the first Paquito. After he left the show, he was a producer for singer Roberto Carlos and today he has an events company in São Paulo. He is married and the father of 2 children; Alexandre Canhoni was the “Xandi”; after the program he became a missionary and has lived in Africa since 2001; Yuri Martins came from Pará and joined the team to replace Paquito Rob and was very famous for dancing very well lambada. Today, he is a realtor; Egon Junior was the “Gigio”; after leaving the program, he studied marketing and currently works at a multinational; Marcelo Faustini, after leaving Xou da Xuxa, tried his hand at acting and made some soap operas. Today, he is dedicated to his music career.
