18 Duo actors who have worked together and repeated success in various projects

Have you ever had the impression that some actors were born to work together? Interestingly, casting directors often hire the same actors to act in several films, series and soap operas, and they do this because they know that the chemistry between them is good and the probability of success is high.

Thinking about it, the awesome.club selected some phenomenal acting duos that always find a way to surprise us.

The first image that comes to mind when fans think of Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon is Carrie and Miranda in the classic Sex and the City, as well as its more recent sequel And Just Like That… However, this is not the first project they worked on together. The duo starred in the drama My Body, My Child in the 1980s.

This duo became inseparable in the eyes of viewers. Together, the two have starred in 18 films, and projects include hits such as Golpe Baixo (2005) and Gente Grande (2010).

The duo starred in three films: Trapaça, O Vencedor and Vice. Interestingly, all three received many Oscar nominations. Apparently, they only team up to make big hits.

These two great film and television stars first worked on the comedy How to Eliminate Your Boss, back in the 1980s. Recently, they participated in the great Netflix success, Grace and Frankie. The chemistry between them is so good that the show has become the longest running show on the platform as it has already been renewed for seven seasons.

These two celebrities have already worked together in six films. The first was The Bright Side of Life, in 2012, which earned her an Oscar for best actress. The two actors have worked together on several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Thor films and the Avengers films. However, the duo also starred in the film MIB: Men in Black – International, and critics noticed that there was good chemistry between them.

This dynamic duo has been working together for over 40 years, and their first project together was Second City Television back in the 1970s. In 2015, Eugene Levy and his son Daniel created and starred in the critically acclaimed comedy Schitt’s Creek. Catherine O’Hara was personally cast by Levy as his character’s wife.

The film Amor à Flor da Pele, by Wong Kar-Wai, became a turning point in the careers of Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, who played the lead roles. However, this is not their only (and not even their first) film together. You can also see the duo in Wild Days, Ashes of the Past and Hero.

Juliana Paes and Paolla Oliveira are so perfect as antagonists that the public came to believe, at the time of the soap opera A Força do Querer, that the two actresses did not get along. In the skin of Bibi Perigosa and police officer Jeiza, they starred in moments so remarkable that they are still alive in the memory of many people.

It didn’t take long for the duo to be cast to live in opposite universes in the soap opera A Dona do Pedaço. Despite such different worlds, the story of the two met throughout the plot and we could count on Maria da Paz and Vivi Guedes shining together on the small screen!

Felipe Camargo and Malu Mader acted together as a romantic couple for the first time in the miniseries Anos Dourados, in 1986, when they played the teenagers Marcos and Lurdinha. The harmony between the two and the success was so great that there was a desire for a new partnership. So, 27 years later, the two met on stage once again, now, in the soap opera Sangue Bom, in 2013, in the role of Perácio and Rosemere.

This famous duo has met on the scene several times. However, despite the long career of both, the first collaboration only happened in 2005, in the telenovela Belíssima, as Júlia and Nikos. A year later, they appeared on the big screen as Helena and Cláudio, in the film Se Eu Fosse Você.
