17 Celebrities Considered Mexican But Born In Other Countries

Many famous singers, presenters and actors in Mexico were not born in the country, but they are still considered Mexican. For example, singer and actor Enrique Guzmán was born in Caracas, Venezuela. 1. Xavier López “Chabelo” (Chicago, Illinois, United States)

Chabelo was born in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. His parents, originally from the city of León, Guanajuato, Mexico, moved to the US at a very young age. The comedian arrived in Mexico at the age of 2.

2. Ludwika Paleta (Krakow, Poland)

The actress arrived in Mexico at the age of 3, after her father, violinist Zbigniew Paleta, received a job offer in that country.

3. Maribel Guardia (San Jose, Costa Rica)

Maribel Guardia was a model in Costa Rica and, at age 19, represented her country in the Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Acapulco, Mexico.
