Who loves more: the man who buys a huge bouquet of roses from the nearest flower shop or the man who makes chicken soup for his girlfriend when she’s sick? Or the mother who posts photos of her daughter on Instagram with the hashtag #mydaughter or the one who stayed up all night helping her with her school work? The answer is up to you.

Today I was working and my son asked to play video games with me. I said I was busy, and he replied, “Please, Daddy. You can give me the controller unplugged anyway.” By the looks of it, he had figured out my ruse a while ago, but he just wanted to sit next to me on the couch. © 5up3rj / Reddit
When I was still little, our class was scolded: we were forced to write the same sentence at home 500 times, otherwise they wouldn’t let us go to the circus. I spent the night crying, because I had managed to write only 200 lines. When I woke up the next morning, however, I noticed that my mother had not only finished my work, but had also set aside money for me to buy something from the circus. It was one of the happiest moments of my childhood. © Denise Sanchez / Quora
My boyfriend is not romantic: he never gives me flowers, he doesn’t declare himself in public. But when I was crying into his shoulder about a sore throat, he was the one who took me to the doctor and then made chicken soup when we got home.🇧🇷 He left everything he had to do to come and hold me when I lost someone very close to me. And on the anniversary of the day we met, he made this little box himself. He spent a week printing it piece by piece on the 3D printer. All because I had commented that I thought the design was beautiful, but I had never asked him to do it. © Vanessa Ying / Quora
I used to hate life, spend most of my time partying and switch girlfriends quickly because I didn’t have any feelings for them. Then I met a girl whose life seemed even more convoluted than mine, and we got married. She got pregnant by accident and it made me furious. Look what a terrible thing: I hated what was growing in my wife. Later, I heard the fetal heartbeat for the first time—which was strange but pleasant. And then my daughter was born. My wife had complications during the birth, so I felt that my child needed me at that moment. I left my wife with the nurses and went to see my newborn, who, by the way, was the most beautiful baby in the world.🇧🇷 I cried for the first time in a long time. The nurses asked if I would like to hold her. I just smiled because I couldn’t speak. I hadn’t felt any emotion for years, but that helpless being managed to steal my heart. © Stefan Benedito / Quora
I have constant mood swings. During one of them, I went into the closet and refused to come out. My husband has a hard time expressing his feelings, so he just brought a pillow, a blanket and said, “So are we going to sleep here tonight?” © MulticulturalLlama / Reddit
I grew up with my grandparents as my parents were always busy with work and my grandfather was everything to me. I had to take care of him for the last five years since he couldn’t get out of bed anymore. I tried to visit him whenever I could. He lived with a lady who took care of him and fed him, but they needed me to help with bathing and changing diapers. My current wife also visited him since we were dating. Once I got to his house, I saw that the fridge was full of food and he was eating ice cream watching TV in bed. My then-girlfriend had gone there a few hours before me without telling me. Six months later, I asked for her hand in marriage. © Sameotoko / Reddit
“This is the engagement ring I bought for my girlfriend”
10 years ago, my friend got his driver’s license, bought a car, and — in honor of that — invited us to a barbecue. We were heading towards the park and my friend was behind the wheel. The road was full of holes, deformations, curves. The vehicle rose and fell as if we were in a video game stage. At one point, we saw a young man on the sidewalk with beautiful long hair, a suit and tie, a bouquet of roses and wine in his hands.🇧🇷 He was certainly going on a romantic date. We tried our best, but it didn’t work: we went through a puddle next to him and bathed the boy in dirty water. We stopped the car. My friend nearly cried apologizing and offered to take him home to change, but he declined.
“Well, maybe it wasn’t meant to be…
“And how about coming with us to a barbecue?”
“Oh, it might be.
Along the way, he explained that he was going to ask his girlfriend to marry him, even though they didn’t have a good relationship – he was being pressured by his parents. And it looks like the puddle was the only thing that stopped him. At the celebration, he met my friend’s aunt, they exchanged phone numbers and, after a while, they got married. The funny thing is that the two don’t celebrate the “wedding day”, but the “puddle day”, when they call all their friends for a barbecue. © volchek1024 / Pikabu
“My friend gave this to his wife for their anniversary and added the message: ‘Go outside.’
“I told my father that I liked the orange candies better. This morning I saw that he spent time sorting the oranges into a jar just for me.”
Today I woke up early: I needed to solve a problem at work. So I decided to make a good breakfast and take it to my wife in bed. On the tray, I put a cup of coffee, scrambled eggs and bread. I continued working and heard sobbing in the bedroom. When I entered,…
