Ahh, what a delight it is to enjoy your rest day in the park, on the beach, accompanied by a beautiful basket filled with wonderful goodies, right? Before going head over heels ~diboas~, you need to see everything you need to take – so you don’t arrive at your picnic and realize that you forgot “just” the cutlery, the napkin or the food. LAUGHS. Write down the checklist here:
1. Choose your destination
First of all, decide on the date and place that your picnic will take place. That’s because depending on the choice, your list will have more or less items. For example, if you want to do this on the beach, it’s better to take an umbrella so you don’t die in the sun, right?
2. Don’t give up sunscreen

To stay happy all day, apply sunscreen before leaving home and take one to reinforce the rest of the time. Then you won’t have to worry about anything!
3. Take a yoke/blanket

If it’s hot, the canga can sometimes warm you up when the wind blows at the end of the afternoon; but if you prefer to have your picnic in the cold, then the blanket will definitely save you. Pillows are optional, but the ride will be much more comfortable if you have two or three to rest your head and watch the sunset.
4. Don’t forget the tablecloth
That red and white square is really a classic (and it’s charming as hell), however, all the others serve their purpose very well: lining the place where you’re going to put your food.
3. Follow this order to organize your basket
A) non-perishable
B) cutlery and utensils
c) tablecloth
5. Don’t have a basket? “No problem”
How about preparing a cooler with all your food? OK, it’s less cute, but it still does the job, which is wonderful. You can assemble it this way: freeze water bottles and place them in the bottom. Thus, they make the turn of ice for other things. On top go the perishables and then the remaining drinks. Important: choose a cooler that fits exactly what you need. Otherwise, it will carry too much weight and, if there is space left, it will freeze less than when it is full.
6. Write down on paper everything you are taking
This is important to make sure nothing gets lost when you put everything away, but especially to see if you’re forgetting something before you leave the house. Place napkins, cutlery, cheese cutting board, serrated knife, plates, glasses and cutlery (which can be disposable or not), bottle opener and paper towel. And whatever else you consider relevant!
7. Which foods to choose?
Well, your options need to contain some or all of the following characteristics: simple, easy to eat with your hand, not “snotty”, can be eaten cold and/or raw. We separated several cool ideas here and here so you don’t get worried. Ah, to make the menu lighter, bet on the salads in jars!
8. Cheese and wine: yes
In summer, winter, spring and autumn the combination is much more than welcome! Take the bottle in hand and remember to include an opener on your list.
9. Build a menu from beginning to end of the tour
Let’s say you plan to arrive at your picnic destination at 2pm and stay until 7pm. So, think about how many “meals” will go into this period: the first is at 2 pm, then at 5 pm and a few more snacks + drinks until the end of the day. It could be, for example, sandwiches and salad, followed by a muffin with coffee and finishing with fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts accompanied by a good glass of wine. Invites me?
10. Spice up the drinks
It’s probably already 5pm somewhere in the world, so why not make some vodka lemonade to liven up the day? Combine the drink with lemon, ice, sugar or sweetener and place in ZipLoc bags. hehehe 🙂
11. Be sure to hydrate
Especially on warmer days, take more water bottles than you usually drink. Not to run the risk of getting sick, right?
12. Thermos = best friend
Yes, it keeps your coffee, tea or hot chocolate very warm so you can enjoy it at any time of the day!
13. DIY insect protection
Use cupcake liners and straws to prevent bugs from getting into drinking glasses. Just turn them upside down and stick them in the middle. Bright, just.
14. Turn the sound on, DJ!

And you can take those tiny little speakers with you to listen to a little music – as long as it’s not too loud to disturb the other people in the place – or call that @ friend @ who is in charge of the guitar!
15. Take care of your garbage
Plastic bags are essential at any picnic. Don’t dirty the place, okay?
