Two acquaintances of mine were on holiday in Egypt at different times, where they encountered similar problems. One of my colleagues, boxer Dimitri, told me: “We were in the hotel room and saw a trail of ants. We tried to get rid of them almost all night and barely slept.” The other friend, the biologist Victor, told me: “As soon as I saw the ants, I soaked a cotton swab with perfume and rubbed it on the doorstep, where they passed. After that, I slept peacefully.
