If you are thinking about buying new furniture, it is better to give preference to an ordinary bed with a quality mattress. In addition to being comfortable, this type of furniture does not break as quickly as sofa beds.

It’s best to store reusable bags in a small box and stick to its size. Stock up on several large shopping bags and keep a couple of them in your commuter bag. This way, you won’t accumulate new bags every time you go to the supermarket. And instead of storing a multitude of plastic bags, it’s better to send them for recycling.

Storing things in boxes is very convenient. However, we often use many and don’t even remember what’s in them. As a result, we waste valuable time in a meaningless search for the object we need.

It’s easier to store clothes in neat piles in the closet, with easy access. And for storing items that you rarely use, a few large boxes will do, labeled on labels, thus providing easy access to the things that are stored inside them.

Clothes racks in the entryway get loaded quickly unless you only have an all-season coat. At the same time, the entrance is the first impression of the house. A wall rack full of coats looks messy because we tend to accumulate things on them, not to mention that clothes usually fall to the floor.

To avoid the temptation to load the coat rack with more clothes, replace it with a more compact one with fewer hooks. For bags, you can place a separate hook near the entrance.

Even shoes placed in the hallway neatly, after a while, become a tangled mountain. In addition, the absence of a shoe rack leads to the accumulation of mud and puddles in winter. Thus, the dirt in the hallway spreads to other rooms, and you spend more and more time cleaning.

There are some special compact cabinets, designed for small spaces, in which shoes are stored vertically. And more spacious ones with folding doors. The only downside is that shoes stored in these types of cabinets are poorly ventilated, so you might put a bag of lavender on one of the shelves.

Large mirrors are usually due to the presence of large wardrobes in the bedroom. They visually increase the space of small rooms, but they are not practical, as they require constant cleaning: dust is very visible in the sun.

If you don’t want to dust or wash large mirrors several times a week, it’s better to buy a cabinet with a maximum of one or two mirror doors. And to visually increase the space of the bedroom, the color of the other cabinet doors can be combined with the color of the walls.

Perhaps light walls in the entrance hall serve to visually increase the space, but in reality they only cause inconvenience. Light walls, especially in that area, with the onset of autumn immediately become gray and dirty. The entrance will look messy. In addition, it is difficult to clean and keep the walls clean. You will have to spend time constantly cleaning and finally repainting them.

To avoid inconvenience, in the entrance area, choose colors that are less dirty or cover the light walls with a cupboard.

Another negative factor is the need to maintain an ideal order, because if you put anything on these shelves, the place will look cluttered and unpleasant.

The most practical option for the kitchen and living room is closed cabinets. In the living room, cupboards with glass doors are very well seen, and in the kitchen, cupboards with doors in light colors that, in addition, visually expand the space.

Many people have a folding table at home to expand its surface when guests arrive. But guests usually do not come so often, and such tables, although they are foldable, take up a lot of space and collect dust. In fact, it turns out to be a really complicated object, used once every several months for some special event.

It’s best to buy a more compact but round dining table that will have room for more guests than a rectangular one.

A large mirror in the bathroom that starts immediately above the sink quickly becomes stained. And it’s not a pleasant pastime to rub drops and spots several times a day. The bathroom will be messy, and the reflection will not be good.

If you are choosing a mirror, it is better to buy a smaller one and hang it 20-30 cm above the sink. In this way, you will avoid eternal cleaning in the bathroom.

Dark chandeliers pass light poorly and the room will never have enough light. To solve this problem, you can buy more powerful lamps. However, in this case, it will not be possible to save, since these lamps are energy-intensive.

The best option is to change the color of the chandeliers and sconces: a light-colored fabric or glass passes the light perfectly, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. Also, you can save energy by using less powerful bulbs.

Carpet, unlike ordinary rugs, has a shorter lifespan. If it gets stained, you’ll have to call in some experts to clean it up. If the stain is impossible to remove, you will need to replace the entire carpet or resign yourself to living with the stain.

If you are looking for a cozy atmosphere and a warm floor, it is better to buy an ordinary rug. You can always restore it or, ultimately, buy a new one.
