After all, in addition to the challenges of the performance itself, in order to bring the hero to life, sometimes the artist has to give up one of his main working tools — his image.

In today’s post, the awesome.club brought together 14 very versatile actors who are not afraid to sacrifice their appearance for the sake of work. Follow!

Jared Leto — Suicide squad

Jared Leto joined the select list of artists who have played the Joker in 2015. In the second film of the franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Naomi Harris played the enigmatic Tia Dalma. However, in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End it is revealed that the character is actually the goddess Calypso. In ancient Greek, her name means “the one who hides”. In Homer’s Odyssey, the goddess imprisoned Odysseus himself, not allowing him to return home after the Trojan War. Already on the big screen, she was responsible for hiding Captain Barbossa, who everyone considered dead.
