13 Main Couples From Soap Operas That Didn’t End Up Together

A romantic couple is a fundamental part of the composition of a good telenovela. But the good guys initially chosen by the authors do not always win the empathy of the couch audience. When chemistry is lacking, the novelists change their narratives and build an ending that is very different from what had been planned.

We, from awesome.club, we now remember some TV plot couples that were not “shipped” by viewers and ended up separated at the end of the story. Check out!

1. Sol and Tião, from America

One of the classics by Glória Perez, America is widely remembered as the soap opera of the dreamer Sol (Deborah Secco), the girl who dreamed of living in the United States. Initially in love with Tião (Murilo Benício), an inveterate cowboy who doesn’t think about leaving Brazil, the young woman decides to leave the romance behind when she starts the journey in search of her biggest goal.

Despite the strong emotional connection, the troubled relationship between the two protagonists, whose intentions in life did not coincide, seems to have tired the public throughout the plot. Already in foreign lands, Sol rediscovers love alongside the American Ed (Caco Ciocler), with whom she has a son and builds a family. Meanwhile, in the Brazilian countryside, Tião becomes a rodeo champion and marries Simone (Gabriela Duarte).

2. Maya and Bahuan, from Path of the Indies

America it is not the only soap opera by Gloria Perez that broke up the main couple. In Path of the Indiesthe plot of forbidden love between Maya (Juliana Paes), who belonged to a higher class, and Bahuan (Márcia Garcia), a member of the “untouchables” caste, considered inferior, did not win over the audience.

Faced with a bland novel, the author was led to write new destinations for the pair of characters. Maya, who had been forced by her family to marry Raj (Rodrigo Lombardi), ended up falling in love with the boy. The new pair of protagonists managed to gain the sympathy of the novelists, while Bahuan was reduced to a minor role in the story.

3. Griselda and Renê, from fine print

Not even actress Lilia Cabral could believe that her character, Griselda, ended the journey of the soap opera separated from Renê (Dalton Vigh). the heroine of fine printfull of personality, resisted until she confessed to herself that she was in love with the chef of a restaurant, ex-husband of his archenemy, the hateful Tereza Cristina (Christiane Torloni).

But there was a lack of chemistry to convince the public — and the author himself, Aguinaldo Silva — that the fate of the famous “Pereirão” should be with the cook. Who wins the girl’s heart at the end of the story is the Portuguese gallant Guaracy (Paulo Rocha), a longtime friend of Griselda. Renê finally gets involved with the young Vanessa (Milena Toscano), who spends a good part of the plot trying to charm the boy.

4. Maria do Carmo and Dirceu, from Lady of destination

Aguinaldo Silva also failed to make the romance between Maria do Carmo (Susana Vieira) and Dirceu (José Mayer), in Lady of destination🇧🇷 The heroine was torn between dating the submissive journalist and the advances of the charismatic ex-bicheiro Giovanni Improtta (José Wilker), who soon won the public’s preference.

Even so, the author preferred to keep the suspense of the young lady’s love future until the final chapter, when she finally accepts the marriage proposal from the “felomenal” Giovanni. She dirceu, in turn, gets along with Guilhermina, the character of Marília Gabriela.

5. Maria Vitória e Inácio, from time to love

Maria Vitória (Vitória Strada) spent most of the chapters of time to love in search of the beloved Ignatius (Bruno Cabrerizo). The couple, separated by fate, never seemed to be able to find each other, which ended up taking away the audience’s engagement with the dragged story of the protagonists.

To involve viewers again in the love life of the girl, author Alcides Nogueira proposed the union of the young woman with Vicente (Bruno Ferrari). During the heroine’s journey, the friendship between the two, well received by the audience, turned into romance. When Maria Vitória finally finds Inácio again, she reveals to her old passion that she no longer feels the same love for him as before. In short, the queue moved!

6. Manuela and Solano, from Araguaia

The main couple of Araguaia, definitely, was not the most charismatic. The novelist Walther Negrão even tried to apply the old formula of the duo who are always at odds, but, deep down, they like each other. However, in the case of Manuela (Milena Toscano) and Solano (Murilo Rosa), the method failed.

The heartthrob’s connection was much more intense with the mysterious Indian Estela (Cleo Pires), who was living a dilemma between fulfilling the legacy of her tribe, condemning Solano to death, or surrendering to the passion she had for the boy. Of course, their love won out in the end, while the forgotten girl Manuela ended up in the arms of journalist Rudy (Henri Castelli).

7. Letícia and Ramiro, from Tropicaliente

Another novel by Walther Negrão that went through problems related to the main duo was Tropicaliente🇧🇷 In the plot, the reunion of a youthful passion rekindles the old love between the fisherman Ramiro (Herson Capri) and the wealthy Letícia (Sílvia Pfeifer). But the years had passed and the boy was married to Serena (Regina Dourado), had two children and a well-structured family.

The public did not welcome the infidelity of the good guy, who ended up, at the end of the story, resuming his relationship with his wife. In the first weeks of exhibition, the actor Fábio Assunção, who gave life to the protagonist Heitor, was removed from the plot to treat a health problem. From there, the heroine approached the Portuguese João (Ricardo Pereira), who already disputed the girl’s heart forming a love triangle. But the replacement wasn’t enough to win over the public. The two unite on the journey to a secret community, where their loved ones live in hiding, and end up getting involved in a love affair.

However, neither the soap opera nor the couple pleased the viewer. It was there that the authors Carlos Gregório and Marcos Bernstein decided to promote Marlon, brother of the then good guy, to the position of protagonist of the story. Juliana Paiva and Rodrigo Simas, who had already been a successful romantic couple in Workout Dreams, managed to win the audience’s empathy and stayed together in the end. Until, years later, the heroine finally wakes up in the hospital and has to deal with all the changes that have affected her surroundings. As she struggles to win the affection of little Júlia (Jesuela Moro), she tries to win back her former lover. The choice, feared by the actor himself at the time, ended up keeping the audience away from involvement.

The narrative of the protagonists, who, in fact, did not have chemistry on the scene, was overshadowed by the parallel nuclei of the serial. In an attempt to solve the problem, Thiago Lacerda’s character, Bruno, who was Marcos’ son, was promoted to the heroine’s romantic partner. The father, on the other hand, with the title of main role thrown to the sidelines, ended the story alongside his ex-wife, Tereza (Lilia Cabral).

The young Guilherme Prates did not please the public of the 20th season of Workout🇧🇷 As Dinho, the actor was removed from the soap opera teen months after the beginning of the plot.
