It is not new that Fernanda Souza demonstrates the affection and friendship she still has with some of the cast members of one of the first television productions she participated in — Chiquititas -, on social networks. However, there is a girl who seems to have conquered a special corner in the heart of São Paulo, Aretha Oliveira, the actress who played Patrícia.

In 2018, they met again to celebrate the 21 years of history that moved many Brazilian children in the past, and Fernanda did not mince words to thank her friend, who even traveled with her: “Thank you for being with me on stage and in life! If you were a child or teenager in the early 2000s, it is very likely that you watched at least a few episodes of Me, the Mistress and the Children, the sitcom that reunited the Kyle family, and presented us with the skills and pranks of the sisters Claire and Kady. Although the plot came to an end in 2005, the relationship between some actors seems to have permeated fiction and, not only, also time.

Jennifer Freeman, who played the eldest daughter, and Parker McKenna, who played the youngest, met again in November 2021 and made a point of demonstrating that the brotherly affection still exists between the two. On Instagram, Jennifer wrote: “Fun night with the sis.” Cute, no? The actress joined the series in the second season, in 2001. Therefore, 20 years separate the first time they debuted together on TV, until the click in question.

If there is one thing that is clear to the actors of Everybody Hates Chris, without a doubt, it is the love that Brazilian fans have for the series. On more than one occasion, they have already mentioned the love that the Tupiniquim people have for the plot. “I’m a star there, they really love me”, said Tichina Arnold, the actress who plays the iconic Rochelle and has visited the country more than 3 times over the years.

In July 2021, she and her “husband, Julius”, Terry Crews, in real life, recorded a video that excited fans not only for the reunion, but also for saying that they had a surprise for the crowd. “Guess who’s back together? Tichina and I have a surprise for you! I miss this lady so much!”, Crews added in the post.

Back to the 90s: another sitcom that was very successful at the time was Um Maluco no Pedaço, the narrative that shows a portrait close to the real life of the protagonist, played by actor Will Smith. Even though more than 30 years have passed since its premiere, the production seems to remain very dear to the public and live in their memory. No wonder many fans were thrilled when it was reported, in 2021, that the series would win a reboot.

However, in the same year, it wasn’t the only news that made fans’ hearts beat faster. In addition to the reboot, the series won a reunion held by HBO with the right to pay tribute to the eternal uncle Phil, actor James Avery, who left this for a better one in 2013, and the special participation of the first actress who gave life to Aunt Vivian, in during the first few seasons, Janet Hubert. The triad of films that marked a generation and conquered many young people and children with their iconic and memorable songs. And, it didn’t stop at the music scene, some of the leading actresses, like Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, also turned the spotlight to the looks they wore at the same time.

The interpreters of Sharpay and Gabriella, who were rivals in the plot, therefore, showed that in real life the plot is quite different. Behind the cameras, they’ve already recorded a cover together, and Vanessa was even the bridesmaid at Ashley’s wedding. In 2021, they met again during the pregnancy of Tisdale’s first daughter, who wrote on Instagram: “We took a picture before my girl left again. I love you, Vanessa!” An inspiring friendship to say the least, right?

In the same decade, although at the very end, Modern Family premiered — the series that surrounds the daily life of an “ordinary” family and shows us through humor the different faces of marriage. Fortunately, he also presented us with Mitchell and Cam, one of the plot’s most beloved couples by the public, not for nothing, since they are extremely fun and charismatic.

Behind the scenes, the affection for each other remains, Jessy Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet are great friends and do not fail to present fans with a record whenever they can. In March 2022, they met again in New York, in the United States, and the eternal Cam reiterated his feelings for his scene partner: “A sweet meeting that has been waiting for two years. I missed this guy a lot. I love you”.

And specifically her best friend Lavender, played by Kiami Davael.

Although the big screen is no longer Kiami’s or Mara Wilson’s priority, Matilda’s interpreter, the different careers they followed were not enough to separate the two, who remain close even after more than 20 years since the release of the film. “Lunch date with my sister from another mother.” said Davael on Twitter, and complemented it with hashtags that mentioned the happiness of seeing her, just like old times. A curiosity is that both have known each other for over 50 years and have even kissed.
