12 Excellent Movies That Have Everything to Win an Oscar

For moviegoers, it’s time to take stock of the past year. And picking movies worthy of an Oscar nomination is one of the best ways to do that. In 2018 many amazing movies were released. Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges make the viewer live a true drama in their own flesh.

This honest and modern film shows the difficulties of growing up. It talks about the problems of a normal teenager, an eighth grader named Kayla. The film, whose themes reach the heart of the audience, has every possibility of being nominated for an Oscar for “Best Original Screenplay”.

David (Steve Carell) can’t understand how his beloved son (Timothée Chalamet), a smart and nice boy, turned into a hopeless addict. It is very possible that both actors (Carell and Chalamet) will be nominated for the highest award in cinema.

This dramatic comedy is based on true events and tells the story of a journalist who, out of necessity, begins to forge letters from celebrities. Many critics say that the actress will receive an Oscar nomination for this work, and we believe that she deserves it.

Earl is 87 years old, he has stopped getting along with his wife, his children have forgotten about him and his private affairs have derailed. It was then that he was offered a simple job: transporting loads from one place to another. Due to Clint Eastwood’s magnificent work as an actor and director, it is possible that this film will receive several nominations.

Some happily married women become widows the same night when their husbands are killed trying to commit a robbery. Now, they will have to answer for their spouse’s actions, find out who set them up and finish the job themselves. A crime drama full of feminist spirit, which can receive nominations for “Best Director” or performances (starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez and Elizabeth Debicki).

Pastor Toller is going through a very dark period in his life: his son died in Iraq and he is divorced. More problems arise when one of his parishioners asks him to speak with her husband. After the conversation, the man commits suicide, and Reverend Toller, in his thoughts, constantly returns to this conversation. A strong drama starring Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried.
