12 Daughters of Brazilian Muses Who Inherited Their Mothers’ Beauty and Charisma

Can beauty be inherited? By the way, is beauty just genetic or does it also depend on attitude? Many Brazilian muses have beautiful and successful daughters, even if some are not as well known as their mothers.

O awesome.club invites you to check out daughters of celebrities who exude beauty. Some share their mothers’ fame, others have more…discreet lives. Do you have to be famous to be beautiful, charismatic and successful?

1. Jordana Brewster (daughter of Maria João Brewster)

Maria João Brewster graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, famous for launching supermodels, in 1978. The beautiful Jordana Brewster, her daughter, was born in 1980, in the Republic of Panama. She moved with her parents to London at the age of 2 and, only at 6, came to Brazil. She lived in Rio de Janeiro for four years, when she learned to speak Portuguese fluently.

Then Jordana moved to New York, where as a teenager she began her acting career, acting in two soap operas. She made her film debut at age 18 and in 2001 she starred for the first time as Mia Toretto in The Fast and the Furious. Jordana seems to have inherited her mother’s beauty, but her fame went even further!

2. Yasmin Brunet (daughter of Luiza Brunet)

Yasmin Brunet, daughter of Brazilian model Luíza Brunet, followed in her mother’s footsteps and started her career at the age of 13. She modeled at SPFW (first official work) and posed in several catalogs of famous brands. At age 17, she moved to New York to pursue her international career.

In 2008, like Maria João Brewster, she posed for Sports Illustrated magazine, consolidating her modeling career. In 2015, she debuted as an actress in the soap opera Verdades Secretas, on TV Globo. Yasmin married surfer Gabriel Medina in December 2020. It is undeniable that the daughter inherited her mother’s beauty, but the legacy of the Brunet family undoubtedly goes well beyond that.

3. Giulia Costa (daughter of Flávia Alessandra)

Giulia Costa, daughter of the exuberant Flávia Alessandra, also chose an acting career. She began formal learning at age 8, with her parents’ support and encouragement. She debuted on stage at the age of 12, in 2012, in the show The Lion King II — The Cycle of Life Continues — playing the lioness Kiara. Three years later, Giulia joined the cast of the 23rd season of Malhação, on TV Globo.

4. Mariana Sochaczewski (daughter of Renata Sorrah)

Mariana and Giulia Costa are sisters through their father, director Marcos Paulo. Mariana is the only child of Renata Sorrah and has chosen a different career from her mother and sister. Graduated in Pediatrics, she did her residency at SUS, at a UPA and at the Hospital Municipal Jesus, in Vila Isabel. It adopts the so-called Humanized Medicine and offers a service in the South Zone of Rio with a focus on a public with lower purchasing power.

Mariana even passed through Teatro Tablado, in a rehearsal for an acting career, but ended up not following in the footsteps of her mother, sister and even her cousins. Her success is not so tied to notoriety, but talent and beauty truly seem to be a family heirloom. Daughters do not always follow in their mother’s footsteps, but achievements seem to be the result of genetics!

5. Dandara Guerra (daughter of Claudia Ohana)

Dandara followed in her mother’s footsteps early in her career and did some work as an actress. She participated in two seasons of Malhação in front of the cameras, and also acted in films, such as Guerra de Canudos and Traição, a work based on short stories by Nelson Rodrigues. After maturity, she ended up following a path more similar to her father, filmmaker Ruy Guerra.

At the age of 34, he returned to work on Malhação, but this time behind the camera, as an assistant director. Dandara is also the niece of the acclaimed screenwriter and director João Emanuel Carneiro. You can see that beauty is not only in appearance, but also in the talent of the family, right?

6. Julia Anquier (daughter of Débora Bloch)

Daughter of actress Débora Bloch and chef and presenter Olivier Anquier, Julia decided to study cinema, graduating in New York at the renowned School of Visual Arts, where she studied for five years. In 2021, she became director at the content platform Hysteria, an audiovisual production hub where women create content aimed at women.

Even with her father’s striking traits, Julia Anquier is very similar to her mother, which is almost always highlighted in the comments made in the very rare photos she publishes on her social networks. Julia may not be famous like her mother, but it’s really hard not to recognize where her beauty came from.

7. Valentina Cohen (daughter of Carolina Ferraz)

Carolina Ferraz’s firstborn, Valentina Cohen, also did not follow in her mother’s footsteps. She studied outside Brazil, completing high school in Europe and graduated in Analytical Economics and Advanced Mathematics in Boston, United States. Before returning to her homeland, she lived for two years in New York. After that, she started working as her mother’s partner, serving as CEO and content director on Carolina Ferraz’s YouTube channel.

Her path ended up turning to “acting” behind the camera, putting aside the notoriety of her acting career a little, but without actually moving away from the role. Even behind the camera, the beauty that Valentina inherited from her mother is easily spotted by them.

8. Suzanna Freitas (Daughter of Kelly Key)

Suzanna Afonso Rocha, better known as Suzanna Freitas, is the daughter of singer Kelly Key and singer Latino. She was born in 2000 and from an early age showed an interest in activities other than her parents. She started the Fashion course, but ended up choosing to lock her enrollment. She is currently studying Psychology and took the time to tell her fans as she wanted to be sure of her new chosen path.

Suzanna is a Digital Influencer, she started producing content for the internet for pleasure, but has already managed to achieve financial independence with the success her videos have had. She certainly inherited her mother’s beauty, but her talent and competence didn’t come without effort!

9. Malu Duarte (daughter of Paloma Duarte)

Maria Luiza Duarte adopted the artistic name of Malu Duarte when she decided to start working as an advertising model in 2016. Before that, in 2013, she began her career as a tattoo artist by creating her own design to tattoo her own body. She believes that it is possible to pursue more than one career and always emphasizes that her focus is on working with art, whether in expression through the body, acting as a model, or through the graphics of the drawings she prints on her skin when she works as a tattoo artist.

Malu remains open to new experiences, so there’s nothing to stop her from deciding to walk the path of an actress one day. Even without following in her mother’s footsteps, the young woman certainly inherited her sympathy and passion for art!

10. Sophia Raia (daughter of Cláudia Raia)

Daughter of Cláudia Raia and Edson Celulari, Sophia Raia Celulari was born in 2003. In August 2019, at age 16, she started working as a model and poster girl for a jewelry store in Rio. In 2021, she did her first dub, alongside her mother, playing the role of Chiara in Disney’s Luca. Despite choosing a path where notoriety is common, Sophia has a reserved attitude and does not usually seek the light of the spotlight.

11. Beatriz Bonemer (daughter of Fátima Bernardes)

Beatriz Bonemer, daughter of Fátima Bernardes and William Bonner, is a close friend of Giulia Costa, daughter of Flávia Alessandra, and has become famous mainly for the posts she makes on Instagram. When Bia is asked about following her parents’ career, her answer is clear: “I’ve seen what it’s like up close and I know that’s not what I want for myself.”

Like her brothers, who have always had direct contact with journalism through their parents, Bia preferred a different path. She decided to study Design and is preparing for the market. If personality and decisive attitude are legacies, Bia shows that seeking her own path is her trademark!

12. Sasha Meneghel (daughter of Xuxa Meneghel)

Sasha Meneghel Szafir Figueiredo, or just Sasha, was famous before she was born. By the way, the pregnancy of mom Xuxa was a subject highlighted in the media. Her birth was headlined in Jornal Nacional on 7/28/1998. The short one from “Rainha dos Baixinhos” came to participate in children’s productions with her mother, but starred in only one film, deciding not to pursue an acting career.

She became a professional volleyball player and was even part of the Brazilian Under-15 National Team, but in 2016 she left Brazil to study Fashion at The New School of Fashion in New York. In 2017, therefore, she signed her first collection. Sasha has almost literally inherited her mother’s success, but clearly seeks a path of her own. Amazing, no?

Perhaps beauty and talent are not guaranteed by genetic inheritance, but there is no denying that nature tends to be generous with the daughters of our muses. This does not mean, however, that the younger generations depend on fame to emanate beauty. Even away from the spotlight, it is possible to shine and walk an authentic path. Perhaps the secret of true beauty is not so much in the genes, but in an attitude of trust and acceptance of one’s origins.

And you, what do you like most about yourself that you believe to be an inheritance? And what do you like most that is yours alone? About the famous ones, did you miss any mother and daughter? Tell us in the comments field!
