Widowed father from Goiânia dresses up as a mother for a school activity at his daughter’s request

Daniel Correa, from Goiânia (GO) has been an admirable father to his daughter Luna, a 5-year-old girl who, due to fate, lost her mother, Stella Noleto two years ago, after a long battle with lupus. Although this loss has left the family devastated, Daniel and Luna are managing to overcome the pain and on Mother’s Day they honored Stella and all the mothers in the world with a truly charming gesture.

In September 2016, Daniel informed his family and close friends about the sad news that Stella was no longer with them. “I promised to be the best father in the world and I AM… I just have to thank you for the best 8 years of my life… I love you forever”, wrote Daniel, saying goodbye to his wife.

The message was not written in vain, as Daniel immediately took it upon himself to give little Luna all the love and strength she needed to take on that painful loss at such a young age. Immediately, they both started taking walks together, participating in games and having unforgettable moments.

This year, little Luna asked her dad to become a mom for a day so she could attend the Mother’s Day celebration party at her school. Daniel suggested that his grandmother or aunt go instead of his mother, but Luna insisted and convinced him that he was the best option for the event.

“With tears in her eyes, Luna begged me to be her mother for a day. She asked me to dye my beard pink and wear a blonde wig, just like her mother’s hair,” said Daniel, 33, who is an investor in startups. And he decided to fulfill his girl’s desires.

The young man wrote on his Instagram account that, before judging him, his followers had to know his story and recorded a video with his daughter, who he says is “next to her mother at school”. He added: “I want to leave the following message: Death is inevitable, but we don’t have to go through it in a SAD way… do you agree? moon! I love you ! It was PRICELESS to see her smile on her face when she saw me as “mommy”.
