11 Actors Who Played Characters Who Are Ages Different From Their Own And Often We Didn’t Even Notice

On certain occasions, the world of acting requires actors to put themselves in the shoes of characters who are very different in age from their own. This also happens in films inspired by novels, in which a certain role has certain aspects that require an actor with long experience to interpret it.

At the awesome.club we compared photos of some actors, who played roles of different ages than they were at the time of recording, with images of how they were when they were actually the age of the character being played.

Andrew Garfield played 17-year-old Peter Parker on two occasions. In the first film, shot in 2010, Andrew was 27 years old and had to put himself in the shoes of a young Spider-Man who was 10 years younger. In the second image, we can see how he looked in his first appearance in the Sugar Rush series, from 2005, with a younger appearance at 22 years old.

Jennifer, being a great actress, can play any role, as she demonstrated in the movie Joy: The Name of Success, by bringing Joy Mangano to life. At the time of the recordings, she was 25 years old, and put herself in the shoes of a 30-year-old single mother, with children under her responsibility, who decides to produce an invention to become a millionaire. Jennifer remains radiant at age 30, just as we can see in the second image.

One of the best-remembered roles of Audrey’s career was that of young Holly Golightly in Luxury doll. The novel on which the film is based tells about the experiences of an intelligent 19-year-old girl. However, in 1960, when filming began, Audrey was 31 years old. In the second photograph we can see her looking younger, when she was actually 19.

One of the most feared and remembered characters in the magical saga is Professor Severus Snape. In the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the plot takes place in the 1990s, when Snape was teaching, aged 32. However, Alan Rickman managed to bring the character to life, at the age of 55. In the second image, from the TV series Romeo and Juliet, we can see what Alan really looked like at 32.

In this teenage series full of paranormal events and a dark atmosphere, we put ourselves in the position of the young protagonist, who falls in love with two vampire brothers. The one with the worst intentions was played by actor Ian Somerhalder, who was 30 at the time of filming. However, the Damon character was supposed to look like a 20/21 year old guy. In the movie Lovely Women, actress Florence Pugh gave life to Amy March, the 12-year-old younger sister, with a talent for painting. However, the actress was 23 when the film was shot, meaning she had to play a character 11 years younger.

In this popular film, the genius and astuteness of a young man who has just turned 19 is shown and who, after posing as a pilot, doctor and lawyer, manages to make a great fortune. Leonardo was chosen to bring this iconic and characteristic character to life in 2002, when he was 28 years old. In the second image, with the physique more typical of a teenager, we can see how Leo was at 19, when he played Tobias Wolff in A Man’s Awakening.

game of Thrones, a series of worldwide success, showed us a variety of characters necessary for the plot and difficult to forget. Daenerys, in addition to being the protagonist, was one of the most evolved throughout production. The actress who brought this character to life was Emilia Clarke, who at the age of 24 played the 17-year-old Daenerys.

In this television series, we get to know the busy and intense experiences of a single mother who had her daughter, Rory, in her teens. The role of the intelligent almost 16-year-old girl was played by Alexis, in 2000, when she was 19. In the second image, we can see what Alexis looked like at 16 years old.

One of the most remembered characters from the television series was the beautiful and popular Blair Waldorf, who was in high school at the age of 16. In 2001, they announced that the protagonist of the film Hunger Games would be played by Jennifer Lawrence. The author of the novel commented that the actress was perfect, for conveying the maturity and strength that the character required. Katniss began her adventure at age 17, and at the time of recording, Jennifer was 20.
