It is love that moves the world, creates life and makes everything banal more colorful and happy. But when facing marriage, not everyone can keep the flame of love lit. If you thought everything would be a bed of roses, you were wrong. However, as much as it is not a fairy tale, there is much to be thankful for in your marriage. See why.

What no one tells you about marriage:

1. If possible, hire someone to clean the house

Think of all the times you’re going to end up arguing over who’s going to clean this or that. If your financial situation allows it, hire someone to clean the house from time to time: the two of you will be happier living in a clean house and will be able to enjoy this time together.

2. You may not know when is the right time to have children

If you were expecting a bell to warn you, forget it. If you want children, plan to have (or adopt) them. If you don’t want them, don’t have them. And if you thought you didn’t want to have him, but now you do, it’s never too late.

3. Getting married doesn’t change anything, having children changes everything

If you thought that after marriage everything would be happily ever after, you were wrong. If there were problems between you guys before the wedding, they will still be there after the honeymoon. On the other hand, the birth of children can change everything: if you lived on a cloud in newlywed lives, the new parental bond can drive you crazy.

4. You may wonder if you did the right thing

In the great and endless discussions about the relationship, you may wonder if you did the right thing by getting married. You may even start to imagine yourself divorced and single again. Don’t panic: it’s very common for all couples, married or not, to imagine themselves leaving everything and ending the relationship. Although, unfortunately, there are many marriages that end in divorce, don’t think that a bad thought can lead directly to that.

5. You’ll have to do things you don’t want to do, and vice versa

Marriage means sharing, which includes giving in every now and then. There are certainly many things you don’t like to do that you enjoy, and vice versa. The two have to put in a little bit of their part and strive to form a life together.

6. You will feel that every minute is worth it

As much as everyone likes to feel strong and independent, there is nothing better than being next to those who understand and want you. That’s what relationships are all about after all.

7. You will be able to have a puppy you wanted so much

If your parents didn’t allow you to have a puppy, with marriage you will have your house and even your dog.

8. Everything that is his is yours and vice versa

We are not talking about things that are bought in common, but all that are his and he shares with you as if they were his own. Just like you’ve gotten used to sharing your belongings with him, like in a couple’s house.
