10 sweet or savory pretzel recipes to make at home

1. Pretzel with sugar and cinnamon

  • 200 ml of warm milk
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • 3 ½ cups of wheat flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ cup of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 yolk for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter for brushing
  • ¼ cup of sugar for sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for sprinkling

Preparation mode

  1. In a bowl, place the milk and yeast. Mix and let the yeast act for about 5 minutes;
  2. After that period, add the egg, sugar and butter. Stir and gradually add the wheat flour with a pinch of salt;
  3. When incorporating everything, mix with your hands and knead until it becomes a smooth dough;
  4. Divide the dough into several portions of 80 g, round each one and place in a floured form;
  5. Cover with a dish towel and bake in the oven or microwave for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
