10 Goals for you to make 2019 a year of great achievements

Some people love setting new goals. Many love to fulfill the following dreams: reading 100 books ✔️, skydiving ✔️, climbing a big mountain ✔️, hugging a famous person ✔️. Whenever a new year begins, it’s important to set new goals, to give new meanings to our lives and make the days more interesting. But how to set goals in the most efficient way?

10. Read a chapter a day

Why not think in chapters rather than the whole book? Receiving information in small chunks is known as microlearning. In 25-minute sessions the brain receives information better; moreover, during breaks it is possible to rest and ‘process’ what has been read.

Start with the most interesting book, to read with pleasure. Take it everywhere and leave it by your bed to read before bed. If you don’t want to use chapter division, stipulate a number, such as 20 pages. That way, after a month you will have read 600 pages.

9. Try a semi-vegetarian diet

Eating greens and vegetables is as good as eating meat. So the best thing to do is try to create the right balance. ‘Flexitarianism’ is a happy medium between meat and vegetables. You can eat everything, but on certain days to receive all the necessary components.

Create a menu for each day: this can help you not break your head when preparing food, in addition to making it easier to follow. Set a goal and write down the results: changes in your weight, the color and texture of your skin, the number of pimples, etc.

8. Learn five new words daily

If you learn five new foreign words a day in a month, you will know 150 words. In one year there will be 825 words, enough to communicate in a new language on different topics. After half a year, you will be able to read newspapers and even books. The idea is great, but to really learn the new words it’s important to respect the system, so we made a checklist, to help with motivation and memory.

7. Don’t complain and don’t judge

A person who always complains about everything fails to notice the good things, forgets his own talents and ruins the mood of others. Promise yourself that for the next 30 days you will not fight, complain, criticize or regret.

Share this with your family and friends. Ask them to remind you if you lose control. At the end of the day, write down how many times you lost control, raised your voice, or got angry. Print this list and write it down at the end of the day. Write down the weekly result at the end of the list.

6. Wake up 30 minutes earlier

To be able to handle many tasks, it is often necessary to get up a little earlier. Of course, in practice, this is not easy. We almost always promise ourselves that from next week everything will be different, but the next day we forget our promises. Don’t set your alarm clock at 6 am if you are used to waking up at 8 am. For starters, try waking up 15 or 20 minutes earlier. In a short time you will realize that you can have your coffee or even read the newspaper before leaving home.

5. Write 10 ideas every day

If every day you write 10 ideas on different topics, at the end of the month you will have more than 300 ideas. You can write 15, 20 or even 100. Write as soon as ideas pop into your head. Perhaps you could start a new business, launch a blog, organize a trip, create a rock group, shoot a movie, or change careers. We can never know what kind of changes these ideas might bring.

4. Prepare a new dish a day

Assume you can’t eat the same dish twice a week. So, if yesterday you had pasta with red sauce, then today you cannot repeat it, but you can make a pasta salad. Don’t cook too much food, even if you have a big family. Excess often ends up being wasted. Try to prepare small and varied portions.

Check out cookbooks and websites and create a weekly menu. Find out the preparation time of each food to facilitate the process. Try to make difficult recipes. Try new methods and new ingredients. Take food to work to save money and to maintain a healthy diet.
