10 Famous voice actors who have acted on TV, but their voices went unnoticed by many Brazilians

Behind many characters in movies, series or animations there are voice actors with voices capable of leaving a mark on different generations. Despite this, most of the time, we do not know the face of these professionals. It is even possible that they go unnoticed when they appear in front of us or on television, even if we hear their voices.

Therefore, we, from awesome.clubwe present 10 famous voice actors who have acted on Brazilian TV, but we did not assimilate their voices and they went unnoticed.

Best known as the voice actor for actors such as Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious) and Ben Affleck (Batman Vs Superman), Jorge Lucas has also been active on the small screen, in soap operas such as Lei do Amor, in which he played the driver Ramiro. In the sequence, he played Venâncio in Pride and Passion, Dr. Mauri in Bom Sucesso and, in 2022, he is the Salvador delegate, in Além da Illusion.

Mabel Cezar is the Brazilian voice of Jessie in Toy Story, Jay Kyle in Me, Mistress and Children, and White Queen in Alice in Wonderland, among other world-renowned roles. However, the voice actress participated in several short films by Porta dos Fundos and became the official announcer of TV Globo, announcing the station’s films and soap operas, and also making brief appearances in soap operas, such as Joia Rara, A Vida da Gente and Bom Success, in which journalist Juliana lived.

The Brazilian has achieved something unprecedented: working at SBT and Globo at the same time. In Silvio Santos’ network, Duio Botta voiced Elias in the Mexican telenovela A Que Não Podia Amar; on Roberto Marinho’s station, he played Jardel, Maria da Paz’s butler, in A Dona do Pedaço. On his resume, he also has voiceovers in productions such as The Simpsons, Orange is the New Black, Mr. Robot and Grace and Frankie.

Isaac Bardavid will forever be marked in the hearts of Brazilian Wolverine fans, since he owned the voice of the main character. He also shined when voicing the character Skeletor — He-Man’s nemesis Freddy Krueger, Winnie the Pooh Tigger and Commissioner Gordon in Batman, among others. On the small screen, just to name a few soap operas, he participated in O Cravo e a Rosa, Salve Jorge, Totalmente Demais and the series Carcereiros, in addition to appearing in Sítio do Picapau Amarelo and in some biblical soap operas.

Luiz Carlos de Moraes began his career as a soap opera actor in the 70s in A Barba Azul, O Prophet, A Escrava Isaura (2004), Amor e Intrigas, and much more. But it was as a voice actor that he found success, a profession he still exercises today. He began voicing several characters in the 1960s. His voices include Klunk, one of Dick Dastard’s sidekicks in the first dub of the Flying Machines cartoon, Goober in Goober and the Ghostbusters. He is also the voice of Dr. Duck Mallard in the award-winning NCIS series, and the mysterious Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

In the 70s, Francisco Milani lent his voice to participate in the Brazilian versions of productions such as Bear with Hard Hair, Hanna Barbera cartoons and the series Magnum, as well as the voice of Han Solo in the first dub of Star Wars. In 1978, he joined the cast of two TV Tupi soap operas: Aritana and Roda de Fogo. The following year, still on that station, he made Seagulls. He was also successful in comedy as an actor, in several comedy shows on Globo.

Orlando Drummond has been a voice actor since the 50s and was responsible for a multitude of characters that marked generations. He is in the Guinness Book of Records for having voiced Scooby Doo for no less than 35 years in a row (from 1975 to 2010). He is also the voice of ALF the Stubborn, Popeye, Gargamel of the Smurfs, Hong Kong Fu and many more. He made several humorous programs and soap operas, being Seu Peru, in the Escolinha do Professor Raimundo🇧🇷 his most famous character.

When the telenovela director started his career, the roles on television were few, so he went to be a voice actor in the series Rin-tin-tin, Route 66, 77 Sunset and Star Trek (1st Voice). He also marked the era with his participation in Jonny Quest. After surpassing expectations in dubbing, he followed the acting profession and entered successful soap operas such as Pecado Capital, Vale Tudo, Explode Coração, Brega e Chique, Babilônia, among others.

Comedian Cláudio Besserman Viana, better known as Bussunda, gained great notoriety for being part of the cast of Casseta e Planeta. But it wasn’t just on TV that he won over fans with his unique way of making the audience laugh.

He was DreamWorks’ choice to voice the main character of Shrek. He still had the opportunity to work on the first two features, before leaving us in 2006, and he still misses us immensely.

Even when she was working as an actress at SBT, Marta Volpiani was invited by Marcelo Gastaldi to work on Chaves, as a voice actress. Although she has been successful in soap operas she has participated in, such as O Espantalho and O Prophet on TV Tupi; Yellow Horse on TV Bandeirantes; and A Ponte do Amor, O Anjo Maldito, Vida Stolen on SBT; her career changed after she accepted the invitation to voice our eternal Dona Florinda.
