10 Artists from different countries illustrated their conception of a “beautiful woman”

Photographers from all over the world look for inspiration when traveling around the planet Earth capturing the beauties, the local habits and, of course, its inhabitants. We love selections like that, so we asked 10 artists from different countries to draw a woman who, from each perspective, would be considered attractive. And the result was, as expected, colorful and full of life.

In the past, lighter skins were considered more beautiful. However, trends have changed and, nowadays, national and natural beauty is increasingly highlighted. What’s more, traditional clothes are also coming back into fashion.

In Italy, high cheekbones, a sharp nose, long hair and sensual lips are generally celebrated. Most Italian women appreciate natural beauty without too many medical interventions. Perhaps we can describe the appearance of Italian women as “strong and feminine”.

Venezuela is a country of many beautiful girls. Venezuelans have won 23 major beauty pageants. Many women are not afraid to correct their “imperfections” through aesthetic procedures and seek to achieve an ideal of beauty — like that represented by the Miss Universe contestants.

When thinking about Russian beauty, many people immediately imagine a blonde with blue eyes. However, the country is huge in territory, so it is to be expected that beauty standards differ from region to region. However, some traits remain in common: tall stature, sculpted cheekbones and well-groomed body.

Spanish preferences are not so different from the rest of Europe: a woman’s beauty is often represented by a thin, well-dressed body and a textured skin tone. Many Spanish women love long hair and makeup that emphasizes their beautiful eyes.

In Colombia, thin bodies, as well as curvy bodies, are considered beautiful. One of the local standard beauty signs are bodies with curves, but with a flat abdomen.

Most of the local girls try to take care of themselves a lot and emphasize their own beauty. Long hair is considered an attractive feature — and is generally longer than average length. Some might think that pale skin is a local beauty trait, but that’s not quite true: Kazakh girls are not afraid of sunbathing.

The climate and environment, in fact, greatly influence Brazilian beauty standards: due to the presence of sun often throughout the year and high temperatures, many women prefer to use lighter makeup. The skin should generally be clean and smooth over most of the body, as the preference is for wearing light and light clothing.

Many Filipina women say that for them beauty is represented by a symmetrical face, even skin tone (no dark circles) and no noticeable “imperfections”. Most women are short in stature and prefer to keep it that way: the ideal weight, according to some Filipinos, should not exceed 60 kg.

Argentine women are very fond of taking care of themselves. Most locals prefer long, voluminous hair over short cuts, as well as bright, more feminine clothes rather than simple, comfortable ones.
