Symbols of all signs

Aries symbol ♈

The Aries symbol represents the ram in the history of the Constellation. The image shows the animal’s horns, which it uses to defend itself, coordinate the herd (leadership is a strong point of the Aryans) and open paths.

The Aries sign is also a Fire sign, characterized by impulsiveness and courage, just like the ram that symbolizes it.

Taurus Symbol ♉

Lion Symbol ♌

In the same line of thought, the sign of Leo also has symbolism associated with a myth and refers to the imposing animal.

The Leo symbol shows the mane of the king of the jungle and, in the version that includes the circle, it can resemble the Sun – the star that rules the natives.

Leo is one of the Fire signs, and from it he inherits passion and protection.

Virgo symbol ♍

Another sign that does not have animalistic characteristics in representation is the sign of Virgo.

Since it addresses the only female character in the Zodiac, supposedly the Virgo symbol would allude to the virgin Astreia, holding an ear of corn in her hands – originating from Greek myth.

In other versions, it would be a coiled serpent, marking the moral decline of human beings. Virgos seek perfection and purity, a consequence of hard work. This work characteristic is also a strength of the Earth signs.

Libra Symbol ♎

Just like Virgo, the Libra symbol also relates to mythology, but not to an animal itself.

It shows a scale, which tries to reach a balance between reason and emotion and oscillates, constantly seeking to reach a common point.

The Libra sign is one of the Air signs and is notoriously known for its indecision and strong sense of justice.

Scorpio Symbol ♏

Unlike the previous two, the Scorpio symbol depicts the scorpion from the story of the warrior Orion, in mythology.

The glyph expresses the being’s tail and is also interpreted as an arrow.

Scorpios move between the spiritual and material worlds all the time, and they also hide in a world of their own when they need to protect themselves. The Scorpio sign is one of the Water signs, marked by adaptation and swimming in deep waters.

Sagittarius Symbol ♐

The sign of Sagittarius moves, at the same time, between the material and the mythological: its symbol depicts the arrow of a centaur, a mixture of horse and human being.

The arrow sails in search of knowledge, freedom and transcendence, characteristic of Sagittarians.

They are of the Fire sign, carrying the intensity and desire to live everything possible.

Capricorn Symbol ♑

On the other hand, the Capricorn symbol refers to the goat that fed Zeus as a baby, in a particular Greek myth.
