You make me smile, you know?

“Good morning, did you sleep well?” innocent the subject, who does not know the joy that the simple question stimulates. Even though I didn’t sleep at all, I woke up at a thousand and one. You make me smile, you know? As if insane.

And for that, I would give up half the space in my bed. I mean, maybe not so much. You know I cherish my territory. Yet you invaded, without warning and with me being somewhat vulnerable. Not that it bothered me at all.

Some say that the best in life comes when you least expect it, trust the saying, because I really didn’t expect you to come. I could give up the evening soap to let you watch your team play, and I’m sorry, but I would make fun of you for the rest of the day if I lost.

You know how I like to annoy you, don’t you? I could still excuse the forgotten towel on the bed and the Master Chef’s failed attempt. I could even make you pancakes in the morning. This when she woke up in a good mood, of course. You know I’m not the nicest person in the world, but you tolerate it and that’s what makes me mold.

I’ve been telling you that I even like you, and I really do, more than expected. I like you enough to share dessert, and believe me I’m not the type of person who shares food, much less dessert.
