You have the right to have a gray day

Our days are quite demanding. They demand a lot from us, which ends up being overwhelming. Don’t worry, feeling bad is not bad.

As human beings, we have the right to sometimes feel sad.to not be one hundred percent, to not continually have a smile on your face, to have a gray day.

Self-help books have sold us something very different: you have to be happyyou have to be positive and those authoritarian and absolutist “haves” are ultimately what make us get even worse than we are.

A day without smiling is a day wasted… Have you read this kind of stuff? Personally, I believe that no day is wasted, regardless of how we feel emotionally.

Laugh, sing, cry or jump, everything is part of your human nature and from absolutely everything you can learn important learning or self-knowledge.

It is almost like saying that a day with a fever is a day wasted and evidently this is not the case.. Thanks to fever, human beings have survived because as we know, fever, by raising our body temperature, helps our defenses to confront viruses, which makes us stop being sick.

In the same way, Emotions, whether positive or negative, act as a powerful information weaponwhich tells us if what is happening around us – at this moment – has to be solved, if we want not to get sick on an emotional level.

Allow yourself a gray day

If one day we are sad because of something that has happened to us, we can allow it

But If a negative emotion is present every day, then perhaps we have fallen into the clutches of depression. If it does not allow us to lead a normal life, if we notice that it is too intense, since we do not stop crying, feel bad about ourselves and the world or that we have negative thoughts, we have to turn to a professional.

The key is to distinguish these parameters and not beat ourselves up if one day we are a little anxious or sad.

People we are continually seeking perfectionism in everything we do, in who we are and even with our own emotions. It is what has come to be called emotional perfectionism, that is, the demand and no longer the exciting search for happiness.

In the end, emotional perfectionism, far from helping us to be better, It gives us extra discomfort, since it makes us disturbed by being disturbed, making it much more difficult to get out of the spiral of suffering.

Exercise your right to feel

We have been educated not to disturb, to please others and not to make too much noise.

The result is a lack of respect for our own feelings, when it is not written anywhere that we do not have the right to feel what we need to feel at that moment.

It is important to learn to put limits and to put our own interests before those of others, even if just a little, because we have every right to feel like a gray day, 24 hours with half our strength and the world does not end because of it.

In the end the sun will rise

As long as we are able to overcome it and draw strength later, there is no problem. Our energies will return, we will feel like smiling, but for now, be patient with yourself.

Even the most rational person is human, they also get angry, cry, feel afraid or live a gray day.

Blessed human nature that allows us to get emotional: cry with joy or sadness, our hair stands on end when we hear our favorite song, our tears come to our eyes when that hug we’ve been waiting for so long arrives… Therefore, express how you feel naturallyrespect yourself and love yourself regardless of your mood.

Don’t feed that emotional perfectionism that says you “should” always be smiling and jumping for joy.

Finally, behave the way your body asks you tothe mind and the heart at this moment, taking care that all this is not too intense, frequent and long-lasting.
