This happens due to the stress experienced by the expectant mother.

Science already knows that eating certain foods increases the chances of having a female baby. For example, cutting back on salt and increasing your dairy intake can increase your chances of having a girl. On the other hand, women on diets high in sodium and potassium are more likely to have boys.

We know that the balance between genders has been maintained over the centuries, and that there are no aspects capable of significantly altering it. Families with several children of the same gender are rare, but can be explained with the help of statistics. Each child has a 50% chance of being male or female. So for every three children, for example, the odds of all being boys are 0.5×0.5×0.5 = 0.125, or 12.5%.
