Michael Jackson, one of the greatest artists in history, was a demanding and perfectionist star. He was aware that his success was a result of his concern for every detail. Michael’s rehearsals were physically strenuous and he gave his all during performances. Over the course of concerts, he used to lose 2.2 kg — and as a result, his waist shrunk by 2.5 centimeters. And as it was important that the clothes fit perfectly so that he could show off his dance moves, the size of the costumes would decrease throughout the performance.

Michael Jackson’s shoes were essential for him to perform his famous moves on stage. They had a sort of V-slit under their heels. With his help and a pin strategically installed on stage, the idol was able to perform his performance, leaning his body at an angle of up to 45 degrees. However, to be able to do this and keep the whole body straight, it also required enormous strength in the abdomen and legs.

Michael had vitiligo, a condition that causes depigmentation in certain regions of the skin. This process started in his hand and, therefore, he decided to cover it.
