When we get to that river we will cross that bridge

This phrase from Emperor Julius Caesar simply exemplifies the need we have to learn to live in the present moment.

How many times, when faced with a conflictive situation, do we tend to advance events without taking into account that there are other possibilitiesand the worst of all, is that with the history that We remain in our heads, it is with great certainty, the most negative option of all and WE BELIEVE IT THROUGHOUT!thus suffering all the emotional burden that it entails, even without having occurred in reality.

For all this, it would be recommended that we would realize when we are “putting the patch before the pimple appears” and question whether what we think is really going to happen like this or whether there may be other options. If we do it, we will be able to not remain paralyzed in a single possibility, generally with very little probability of happening as we think.

What’s more, when faced with any event in our life, we find ourselves with two alternatives, that it develops positively (50%) or that the evolution is negative (50%), then What need do we have to attend more intensely to the option that does us the most psychological damage?

In my own experience, I have learned to cling to this phrase to stop the tendency to anticipate events and wait for “the pimple to come out before applying the patch.”
I hope it can be useful to you too!
