What to change in your life to live better

We have just entered the 4th month of the year and the goals we had set for 2018 already need to be reviewed and updated. But what if we looked at the goals we created ourselves in another way? See them not just as something we want to achieve, but as a way to rethink bad habits and customs that are definitely not good for us.

1. Extreme diets

Lose weight before Christmas, before going on vacation or before an important party to look good in the photo. Have you ever found yourself in any of these situations? Stop running after the beauty standards imposed by others. This is not to say that you don’t have to pay attention to your appearance, but we want you to understand that extreme diets are bad for your health and do not increase your self-esteem.

If you’ve categorically decided that you want to lose weight, approach this issue in a deep and healthy way. Diets that make you feel hungry should be a thing of the past, they are definitely not good for you.

2. Discussions with your parents

Unfortunately, our parents don’t live forever. Someday, we will be completely independent, and therefore more alone. That’s when we start remembering the fights with our mother, when she used to say we had to bring a sweater because it usually gets cold in the afternoon, or how our parents always looked strangely at the new friends we took to dinner. This is all remembered with nostalgia. Don’t fight with your parents, open your heart to them.

3. Unnecessary indebtedness

Loans should only be made in extreme, emergency cases. Or in the purchase of high-value goods, with long-term financing at lower interest – in the case of a property, for example. In other cases, they are not worth it, especially the overdraft and credit card revolving call. If you need money to buy something relatively cheap, like sneakers, a cell phone, or a TV, save it. To do this, start depositing an amount every month into a separate account.

If you need good money, be careful not to become a debt slave. This can lead to difficulties at work or even health-related problems. And besides, the debt will still be there, haunting you.

4. Others’ stereotypes

A person’s life is limited to a period of time. Do you really want to waste that time trying to fulfill others’ expectations? That is, putting these expectations above your own wishes? No matter what you do, someone will always be dissatisfied with your actions. And that’s okay. Live your life without worrying about the opinions of others. But of course, always with respect.

You know what the downside is about giving a second chance? In the end, we know that the second will not be the last. We spend a lot of time and energy with people who don’t deserve a second chance, and they end up abusing our trust. These problems can be avoided if we think calmly and serenely from the first moment.

Giving advice is often a waste of time, as people who ask for advice already know what they are going to do, regardless of what others say. And to make matters worse, in the end the person giving the advice may still end up as the culprit.

Also, there are many people who give advice when no one asks. In general, this is useless advice. In other words, try to avoid this type of advice from now on.

8. Relationships that don’t bring joy

Often, we know that some relationships will inevitably end, but we don’t know when is the right time to put an end to it. In these cases, the rule of ‘the sooner the better’ applies. Don’t let a relationship get to that point. End it as soon as possible so no one suffers anymore.
