Current protocol requires appearances before the public to be made with impeccable appearance. In addition, it regulates details such as the color of nail polish that ladies of the royal family must wear. Very dark or very striking paint and long artificial nails are considered “vulgar”. Unfortunately, we will no longer see Meghan Markle on the big screen, as this job is incompatible with her new lifestyle and obligations. The Duchess of Sussex is not sad about it: “I just see it as a change … It’s a new chapter in my life, right?”, she told her in a television interview.

For an indefinite period, she will be the duchess’s private secretary, to help her avoid possible gaffes.
