What 20th century beauties would look like in our time (Vivien Leigh would be prettier than Angelina Jolie)

The official poster for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival caused a real stir in the history of this prestigious film competition. The photo shows legendary actress Claudia Cardinale (now 81) at the height of her fame. But if we look at the star’s original portrait, it’s clear that the poster shows her much thinner. It seems that Claudia did not correspond to the current standards of beauty, in the view of the Festival organizers.

It is interesting that Cardinale herself did not react badly. “The photograph was retouched to transform me into a dream character, add ease. We don’t have to worry about realism, and since I’m a convinced feminist, I don’t see any crime against the female body”, said the actress.
