We wonder what these 10+ actors would look like if they were the same age as the characters they played

Many viewers may be impressed by the age gap between some actors and the characters they play. On the other hand, others seem not to notice the disparity and do not even think that the performers are younger or older, depending on the scenic image that the role usually conveys. And you, have you ever stopped to analyze that this type of situation happens in some plots?

To help you answer the question, we at awesome.club, we researched the topic and gathered some celebrities who are older (or younger) than the characters they play in some Brazilian TV productions. Be sure to check it out!

In the first phase of the soap opera, we were able to observe that the protagonist of Avenida Brasil was just a 7-year-old child. Already in the second part of the plot, 13 years later, the girl is already a young adult. Thus, in 2012, Nina would have been 20 years old, while Débora Fabella, the actress who played her, was 33.

Max, one of the main characters in the same plot, was 27 years old in the first phase of the soap opera (1999). Therefore, 13 years later, already in the second phase, he was 40 years old and younger than his interpreter, who was 50 at the time.

As in the first phase of the soap opera Vivi was a child around 5 years old and in the second phase 20 had passed, it is assumed that the character was on average 25 years old, or at least, she had not passed 30. It turns out that her interpreter, the actress Paolla Oliveira, was already 37.

Who doesn’t remember the teenager Clara from Mulheres Apaixonadas, right? But not everyone knows that Aline Moraes was already 21 years old when she played her. The actress, with her youthful face, had the chance to play a teenager, a high school student.

In Malhação, it is not uncommon to see young adults playing teenagers, however, not everyone knows the true age of the artists. Actor Guilherme Berenguer, interpreter of Gustavo, for example, was 24 years old when the series aired, while his character was about seven years younger. That is, based on the fact that this is the age of his classmates, Gustavo was around 16 years old.

Like several other actors mentioned throughout the article, the actress who played the sweet Benê, in more than one season of Malhação, Daphne Bozaski, was already a 25-year-old adult at the time of production. However, it is possible to understand the choice of directors who cast her for the role, because the girl really has a youthful face, similar to that of a teenager, don’t you think?

Until today, Cacá Ottoni has a delicate face that can easily be confused with that of a teenager and, perhaps, that is the reason why the actress was cast to play the young Joana (16) in Amor de Mãe, having already turned 28 . The actress who has played several young women, even though she is an adult and a mother, today, dreams of less juvenile roles.

In Verdades Secretas it was no different. Several older actors acted as teenagers — possibly due to the telenovela’s rating. But what few know is that Agatha Moreira was 23 years old when she gave life to her emancipated character Giovanna (16).

In the same plot, João Vitor Silva was 19 years old, and although his real age at the time was not much older than that of his character, he “showed up” and played the young Bruno, aged 14. However, we barely noticed, since João really appeared to be younger than he really was, right?

The protagonist of the soap opera, Angel (16) was played by the young Camila Queiroz who, at the time, was 22 years old. But who could say there was a certain age difference right? Even today, the actress has a very youthful and delicate face, and perhaps that was her gateway to participating in other soap operas in which her characters also looked younger.

In Império, actress Drica Moraes (at the time 45) had to step away from the recordings. To the surprise of many viewers, who took her place was Marjorie Estiano (with 32 when the telenovela aired), starting to give life to the character Cora, in the second phase of the telenovela. The exchange may not have pleased many people, as the age difference between the two was really glaring. However, in the end, even with the noticeable years of disparity, both did a great job.

Jade was a real success in the soap opera O Clone, a source of inspiration for many young people and even trendsetters in the fashion market. However, almost nobody suspects that Giovanna Antonelli (25 at the time) was almost 10 years older than the character (16), in the first phase of the plot.

As you may have noticed, many actors play the same characters in the first and second phases of the telenovela, and that’s exactly what happened to Mariana Ximenes, in Chocolate com Pimenta. At the time the production aired, the actress was 22 years old, and the character Ana Francisca, at the beginning of the plot, was only 15.
