This is the best product against lice according to the OCU

Going back to school is, many times, synonymous with the return of the lice. According to the statistics managed by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), these insects end up reaching six out of ten homes with children. Dealing with this “pest” is now easier with these products recommended by the OCU.

A study published by the OCU reveals that the majority of homes use shampoo, lotion or gel with permethrin or other insecticides to fight lice. Specifically 64%. 17% deal with these problems with sandblasters, 12% with vinegar, 4% in specialized centers and 3% with other remedies.

Precisely, according to the same report, the use of these shampoos or lotions is the best remedy. About 80% of users consider it very effective or quite effective.

Scientific evidence demonstrates, always according to the study published by the OCU, that the most effective products are insecticides based on permethrin. These are also the most economical and easy to use. It also reveals silicone lotions and gels as effective, the great advantage of which is that they work very quickly.

Regarding the use of home remedies such as vinegar or natural oils, the OCU does not recommend them. According to their statistics, 15% of users continue to use them, although their effectiveness is in question.
