“Nothing better than choosing furniture, such as a sofa, chair, tables, racks, among others, in more neutral colors. What sets the decor apart are the objects, and even the wallpapers. So, when you get sick, you can just change the objects and have different types of decorations”, comments the decorator Silvana Farias.

Furniture with custom themes are options and have grown significantly in the market. Decoration options with London, retro, modern and even pop art themes are not lacking.

“Merging old objects with modern ones creates a differentiated and totally innovative environment”, says Silvana.

London decor

Choosing red, blue and white objects to decorate the house is a good option. “Mix reddish and bluish tones together with whites. They are very elegant colors that refer to London”, comments the decorator.

If you or a friend or relative is traveling to London, don’t forget to ask for/bring objects to your room. “There are different options for decorative objects, such as flags, vases or even different picture frames”, suggests Silvana.

Decorative pillows, rugs or towels are also options. “The bedspreads to put under the sofa guarantee charm and style to your living room”, says the decorator.

Pop Art Decor

Seeking to criticize society, the pop art artistic movement (in Portuguese, popular art), transformed the items consumed by the population in the 50’s, such as soup cans, advertising, among others, into art. “The artists used strong and intense colors. Cushions, wallpapers and curtains, for example, are great pieces to decorate apartments and houses”, suggests Silvana.

As the name implies, the retro decoration rescues elements of the past and adapts with those of today. “We have a very nice decoration when there is this mixture of the old and the new. In it, we find suitcases, wallpapers with building motifs, minimalist flowers, among others. The item that has gained the most prominence in homes is the old telephone. It looks super elegant in the living room and you can find it in decor stores”, says the decorator.

Paris decoration

Paris is known as the capital of love. Due to its beautiful landscapes, it is an inspiration for decorators and architects. “Whoever wants to bet on this type of decoration, bet on romantic colors, such as red, wine and even pink. Spread portraits of family, friends and unforgettable trips around the house”, comments Silvana.

Other themes that you can adopt when decorating your home, are themes related to the cinema, the glamor of Las Vegas and its casinos, themes of amusement parks in children’s rooms, in short, there are a multitude of them, what is worth is to use your creativity and organize the decorative objects with your favorite themes, creating an environment with your face.
