The story of Ana Hickmann and Alexandre Correa proves that for love nothing is impossible

We grew up surrounded by romantic comedies, which make us dream of living a similar story. And when that reality leaves the screen and we see couples living long and beautiful romances, everything becomes more palpable and believable. In other words, it not only allows us to dream, but we also know that at any moment love can really knock on our door. With all the clichés right!

Therefore, we, from awesome.club, we decided to remember the beautiful and intense love story between presenter Ana Hickmann and her husband, businessman Alexandre Correa. Check out!

Ana Hickmann left Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, heading to São Paulo at just 15 years old, and it was there that she saw for the first time who would become her husband, Alexandre Correa. The young woman who dreamed of being a model moved to another city to follow what she wanted so much.

In São Paulo, she saw Alexandre at a nightclub in the city, and whoever believes that he was the one who took the initiative to be with the beautiful blonde for the first time is wrong: “I met Alexandre at the club. I remember the first time I saw him I thought he was a ‘Greek God’. He didn’t care about me so I was the one who put him on the wall and had the first kiss.”

If the kiss didn’t take long for the marriage to happen, much less, however, the rush was not due to excess love — the couple had been dating for about eight months when they had to make a quick decision. Ana needed to leave for France, but as she was a minor she needed to be emancipated and the fastest way to achieve this was marriage.

So, Alexandre made the proposal: “Why don’t we get married today, go to the registry office, talk to your parents? Tomorrow we split up and everything is fine. But you get your emancipation quick.” Everything happened with the knowledge of the young woman’s parents, however, she did not accept this story of quick separation, for Ana it had to be for real. And so it was, as the couple is over 20 years of marriage.

The wedding took place close to Ana Hickmann’s 17th birthday, and there was nothing glamorous and rich; the wedding was civil and the celebration took place in a nightclub where Alexandre worked. So, the boy’s bosses gave them a box as a gift, and they invited a few friends and family to celebrate: “Many thought it would be just another madness between a model and an older guy without much to offer.”

With so many years of marriage, Ana Hickmann says that there is no recipe for such a feat: “We built everything together. The two had nothing. When I got married, we moved in with my mother-in-law. We didn’t have a car, nothing. So we could travel and leave Brazil, he sold the sound equipment he had so that we could have some money”.

Even with the long marriage, which may seem perfect to many, the couple does not hide that they had some ups and downs, but they are always overcome with love and conversation. Through social networks, the pair claimed to have experienced an intense crisis in 2015, Ana even remembers the date of the big fight, but everything was resolved, since there is no lack of love.

A marriage goes through many difficulties, not only between the couple, but also personal problems. And it is up to the other to stand by and enforce the “in joy and sadness, in health and in sickness”. This was their case; in 2020, Alexandre was diagnosed with neck cancer, but Ana did not move away from her husband’s side and together they managed to overcome another advent of life.

The couple, who have lived happily ever after for many years, brought little Alexandre into the world, who, yes, bears the same name as his father. For Alexandre, being a father is the best role he can play in life. And maybe because of that, the couple wants to increase the family even more: “I really want to increase the family. I love children and I think my child deserves a brother or sister. But in life not everything happens as we would like. I don’t know how and when this will happen, but it’s a wish, a desire”.

And the couple, who have a beautiful family, do not get tired of declaring themselves on social media, always remembering and reminding the public of the size of the love they feel for each other, even after 24 years of marriage. In the 24th anniversary celebration post, Ana stated that she couldn’t imagine their story would turn out like this.

Alexandre is also not far behind in his statements: he always tries to remind his wife of the intense love he has for her, for the family and history they built together: “A wonderful wife and an exemplary mother. I am fortunate to have married this beautiful and brave woman.” These are some of the words he likes to reverberate through social media.
