The series “Um Maluco no Pedaço” will complete 30 years and we came to show how its actors are today

Everyone remembers the bubblegum opening song that was in our heads all day; of Will Smith making trouble on the basketball court; even when he arrived at his aunt and uncle’s mansion dressed as a tourist in a taxi (entitled to that round of head).

And in September 2020, the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which in Brazil was called “Um Maluco no Pedaço”, celebrates its 30th anniversary. It’s amazing how time flies. And it’s not just for us.

You’ll notice that two of the actors don’t have very recent photos and this is due to some twists in life.

The first of them, actor James Avery, our acclaimed uncle Phil, passed away in the early hours of December 31, 2013 in a hospital in California, due to some complications after heart surgery. Actors who worked with him, such as Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) and Tatyana Ali (Ashley) They even posted beautiful tributes on their social media.

The second, the then actress who played Aunt Vivian, Janet Hubert-Whitten, was removed from the series after having had some disagreements with fellow actor Will Smith. The show’s expulsion somewhat ended her professional career, leaving her without many opportunities to return to the spotlight.
