Have you always tied your shoelaces the same way and never felt comfortable? This can happen because your foot has one particularity or another that, with a certain binding, can improve your life. Different ways of lacing your laces can make your shoe even more comfortable. It depends if you have pes cavus, if your foot is chubby, if you have pain in your big toe…

Pes cavus (high instep): leave a free space in the middle
Whoever has a pes cavus, a high instep, should not intertwine the laces along the entire length of the shoe. Do not cross the laces in the first few holes, go straight to the next ones, leaving a gap in the middle of the shoe, so that it is nice.

Heel coming out of tennis: ensure firmness at the top
Normally intertwine the laces in a criss-cross pattern until the penultimate hole. When you get there, don’t cross them, pass the laces over and only then do the cross.

wide foot: leave some space
It is very similar to people with pes cavus. But remember to leave space between the laces to give your feet more room.

Pain in the thumb: take the pressure off the shoe on your big toe
With a point, trace all the holes on the same side diagonally. The other end will take the first hole, on the big toe side, to the last one. When you’re done, pass the last end over and tie the loop.

Fat foot: bet on the parallel shoelace
Weave the lace through the first two holes as normal, then follow the lace parallel to the end of the shoe. That way, your foot won’t feel as much pressure.
