The product you should throw in the sink to clean the bottom and perfume your bathroom

In the bathroom there is the problem of limescale, which usually leaves an unpleasant whitish coating on the taps. But even more annoying and unsightly are the scales that form on the bottom of the toilet as a result of lime deposits.

On repeated occasions we have provided practical solutions to limescale in metals. In a previous post we revealed this ingenious remedy, for example, to prevent limescale build-up and keep the bathroom and kitchen sparkling.

But when lime buildup affects the bottom of the toilet, things get complicated, especially if this problem is also accompanied by a bad smell. With the solution that we are going to provide, we can make real cleaning bombs to use both against scale and against bad odors.

The only thing we need is a normal container to make ice cubes.

A surprising remedy

Combine 150 g of baking soda and 50 g of citric acid in a large enough container. The baking soda will act on dirt and stains, while the citric acid will act as a disinfectant. We also add 2 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid and 15-20 drops of lavender essential oil to the mixture. We can also choose the fragrance we prefer, such as tea tree oil.

We mix everything until we obtain a compact and fragrant paste that we transfer to the freezer container for the ice cubes. Let the mixture sit for a few hours until it solidifies. After this time, we will have obtained small cubes that will clean the black bottom of the lime toilet and perfume the room.

In fact, just throw a couple of them down the toilet and let them sit for about two hours. When the cleaning tablets have taken effect, we can scrub the bottom of the toilet with the help of the broom and facilitate the removal of the scale.

To intensify cleaning, we can repeat this operation twice a week and amplify the aromatic effect of the tablet.
