The foods you should avoid before bed –

Are you worried about not going off the diet, but did you hit that hunger at 3 am? Going to bed hungry isn’t good either. The secret, in fact, it’s about making the right choice so as not to disrupt your diet or your sleep. Check out some tips.

1. Very fatty foods
Opting for more fatty foods overloads your stomach, as it has to work harder to digest this type of food. So the next day you usually wake up feeling sluggish and tired. Stay away from foods like ice cream or fast foods before going to bed.

2. Extremely sugary foods or foods with a high concentration of carbohydrates
A sweetie before going to sleep is always welcome. Now, attacking half a chocolate cake might not be the best idea. Too much candy can cause your blood sugar to spike and make you too fussy to get to sleep. Avoid cakes, cookies and other desserts. Snacks that contain a lot of carbohydrates, such as crackers and bread, are also included in this team.

3. Red meat and other proteins
Like fatty foods, eating red meat – or chicken and pork in large quantities – can overload your stomach and make you feel ‘too heavy’ to sleep. Calm. You don’t have to avoid all types of protein, just stick to smaller portions.

4. Spicy foods
Spicy sauces at dinner can irritate your stomach in addition to making you more jittery. Leave this delicacy for lunchtime and give your metabolism a boost.

5. Less is more
In the end, the law of compensation reigns. Late night snacks shouldn’t be a big deal, but they also shouldn’t be a big meal, like your dinner. Remember: it’s a snack. For this time of day, maintaining the amount of 200 calories is ideal for not having problems when going to bed. You’ll feel much better knowing that, after spending the whole day focused on your diet, right at the last meal of the day you put everything to waste.
