The colorful bird that looks like it came out of a fairy tale

There is a small bird, found in countries like China, India, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, that looks like a flying rainbow. Its colors are impressive, and most likely it is one of the most beautiful birds in the world.

Known in English by name tit warbler, this bird lives in the Tian Shan, a system of mountain ranges in Central Asia, in the Himalayas and in boreal forests. It has bluish-purple plumage, a pinkish belly, and grayish or white eyebrows. Males have stronger colors than females; they weigh between 6 and 8 g and are 8.5 to 10 cm.

These birds are not only beautiful, but also very polite and produce a sound that could be described as follows: “sirrrrrr”. They live in pairs during the breeding season; when it runs out, they gather in groups of 25 or more. Its diet, also quite colorful, includes insects, spiders and small amounts of seeds during autumn and winter.

Fortunately, this species is not threatened with extinction. This happens because their nests are camouflaged and are usually placed in areas with few predators.
