IKEA Skogsfräken high (75 cm). Price: 15 euros. Pros: It is a hollow fiber pillow with good overall results, also for small people. Good in durability and moisture evaporation. Cons: Measures 5 cm less than the advertised width and shows a slight pressure point. It is washable, but the cover cannot be removed.

In general terms, memory foam pillows, due to their memory effect and composition, are fluffier and apparently more comfortable, this being one of the main reasons for their popularity. Of course, they are warmer and do not allow you to put them in the washing machine, only their cover; In addition, they can be high for small people who sleep on their backs (if this is the case, opt for one that is 10 cm high). For their part, fiber ones stand out for their low price, their ease of shaping the height of the head and their quick drying, thanks to their polyester composition; and they can be put as is in the washing machine. In any case, there are no significant differences between one type and the other in laboratory tests.

OCU advises not to focus so much on the comfort or fluffiness of the pillow, but rather on keeping the head in a correct posture in the usual sleeping position.
