If you no longer like the gotelé and you want to eliminate it, there are several solutions that you can apply. It is essential, before starting, to know the type of paint: tempera or plastic. To find out, apply a little water to the wall: if it absorbs it quickly, it is tempera paint.

Next, moisten the walls with a roller and when it has been completely absorbed, scrape it with the help of a spatula. Once you have removed the vast majority, proceed to finish removing the excess and cover the damage with putty. When the wall is completely dry, sand the surface and apply a coat of sealer. From here all that's left to do is paint.

Plastic paint

Get renovation putty to apply it over the entire surface. With this you will be able to cover the gotelé and leave the surface smooth without having to tear it off. Once the wall is smooth, use a sander to leave a better finish and it will be ready to paint.
