The 11-year-old boy who creates stunning hyperrealistic works

Kareem Waris Olamilekan is just 11 years old and has already been accepted into an art academy where his classmates are all adults. This happened because, from a very early age, he demonstrates enormous talent and already makes impressive drawings, worthy of the greatest art galleries in the world.

We, from incredible.clubwe were really impressed with Kareem’s works and we want you to know a little more about this prodigy boy.

Kareem was born in Nigeria in a very simple family. He started drawing at the age of six and hasn’t stopped since. When he was eight years old, his family moved into a new house. On that day, he saw a student at the art academy Ayowole Art Vocational Academy making a still life painting. At that moment, the young artist realized that he also wanted to study at the same institution.

Kareem showed his drawings to a school teacher Ayowole, who realized that the little artist should start studying art. That’s how he started to draw professionally.

When we look at his works, we hardly believe that they were made by an 11-year-old child.

Kareem does graffiti, comics, cartoons and creates illustrations for books and newspapers. But what he likes the most is drawing with pencils in the hyper-realistic style. According to the young artist, he is inspired by everything around him, especially his family.

Today, already famous, he has more than 30 thousand followers on Instagram, but he is not at all arrogant. He helps his family with his work and always takes portraits of his friends.

His favorite work is called ‘Daily Bread’, in which we see a boy with a spoon in his mouth and tears on his face.

“My family has to work hard to feed us. She is my biggest inspiration”, explains the little artist.

His family really has few resources and he doesn’t have much money to realize all his artistic ideas. All the materials he uses are paid for by his parents or teachers, but unfortunately this is not always enough.

Kareem would like his country’s government to visit small towns in search of young talent, something that happens infrequently.

The young artist’s dream is to be as big as Michelangelo. He would love to be able to see the works of the Italian genius and other famous painters.
