According to Gabi, it works for all types of hair: “Curtain bangs go well with both long and short strands. The long bob cut also welcomes this style very well, and even curly ones can dare and adhere to the fashion”, says the hairstylist.

BLUNT OR STRAIGHT

“It’s the line. More shredded or in block. It suits oval faces”, says Flávia. Usually, she’s the first one that comes to mind. when you think of bangs. It is cut straight and has no layers. It’s the ideal type if you want to be able to go back on the decision to have a fringe. Layered bangs blend in with your hair and come in many different lengths. You can style it however you like: parted in the middle, straight, tossed to the side… Looks great on a square or oval face.

“The cascading bangs are longer, with spiked ends, used a lot by Madonna in the 2000s for those who don’t like the traditional fringe. It’s almost a semi-fringe, because it’s longer in length, peaking to the side,” says Ronan.

Long bangs are well defined, usually have volume. It may look messy, but it has style. For styling, use pomade or a leave-in conditioner. Perfect for thick hair.
