Study says that, at age 33, women start to look like their mothers

“You’ll understand when you grow up”, your parents probably told you exactly that in childhood. And we bet that most of us only understood this years later, as they predicted. The fact is, not only do we understand the situation, we’re likely to act just like them when we’re parents and the age they were when we said it.

we, from awesome.club, we found an interesting study that explains it all and we are here to make it clear: you will one day be exactly like your parents. He doubts? Check the post.

At some point, we became very much like our parents.

British plastic surgeon Julian De Silva conducted a survey in which he talked to 2,000 people in the UK about their relationship with their parents and asked about each family’s history. He found that more than half of the women admitted that they act very much like their mothers.

The Doctor. Julian and his team found that this began to happen, on average, around age 33. The women said that at this point, not only did they stop rebelling against their mothers, they also started to become more like them, adopting their words, having similar hobbies, and even watching the same TV shows. Participants admitted that at the aforementioned age, they became more like their mothers, even though they couldn’t have imagined it before that could happen.

This transformation may be linked to having children. The Doctor. Julian suggests that women begin to become more like their mothers when they seek their own style in the relationship with their children and begin to reflect their behavior when they come to trust the maternal experience in the relationship with children. In a way, therefore, it is as if they sought to incorporate the experience of mothers (who, at that moment, began to assume the role of grandparents) in the relationship with their own children.

Men also look a lot like their fathers.

Women are not the only ones who go through this transformation. Men also begin to look a lot like their fathers—in this case, around age 34, says De Silva. They begin to share political views with their parents, listen to the same radio stations and start turning off lights in empty rooms — after all, “no one is a partner in the power company”, their father must have said. “We all become our own parents at some point in our lives,” he says.
