Russian girl weaves adorable crochet characters in amazing sizes

Anastasia Kirs learned to knit when she was still a child, under the tutelage of her grandmother. Today, she has certainly improved her art a lot, as she has been making “amigurumis” for 15 years, the name given to small crochet dolls.

O awesome.club caught up with Anastasia, who shared some details on how she manages to make these small objects. The artist explained that her technique evolved and she gradually reduced the crochet hook and the thickness of the yarn, until she made a bear measuring just 16 mm. This delicate work requires patience and, in her own words “the most complicated and difficult part is the face. You need to embroider and make other details on a very small piece of crochet. Every millimeter is very important!”

The creation of her little dolls takes some time, so Anastasia decided to make a few with the idea of ​​not accepting requests and giving freedom to her creativity. “To create a new object, I make a sketch and sit down to work. On average, it takes me two to three days to create a new character and then comes the routine to draw the details”, commented Anastasia. Check out some of her cute creations now.
