Psalm to sleep and ward off worries

Difficulty resting at night due to worries, insomnia, sadness and/or insecurity? O psalm for sleep seeks to bring peace to the heart and the necessary relaxation. “I lie down in peace and then fall asleep, because only you, Lord, make me rest safe, peaceful, in peace” (4:8). Psalm 4 for sleep

“Answer me when I call,
O God who gives me justice!
Give me relief from my anguish;
have mercy on me
and hear my prayer.

How long will you, O mighty ones,
Will they outrage my honor?
Until when will they be loving illusions
and looking for lies?

Know that the Lord has chosen the pious;
the Lord will hear when I call on him.

When you get angry, do not sin;
When you go to bed, reflect on this
and be still.

Offer sacrifices as God requires
and trust in the Lord.

“Who will make us enjoy good?”
Make, O Lord, shine upon us
the light of your face!

You filled my heart with joy,

Psalm 91 to sleep peacefully

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
and rest in the shadow of the Almighty

You can say to the Lord:
‘You are my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.’

He will free you from the hunter’s snare
and deadly poison.

He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your protective shield.

You will not fear the dread of the night
nor the arrow that flies by day,

Not even the pestilence that moves stealthily
in the darkness,
nor the plague that devastates at noon.

A thousand may fall at your side;
ten thousand, on your right,
but nothing will reach him.

You will simply look,
and will see the punishment of the wicked.

If you make the Most High your shelter,
the Lord is your refuge,

Psalm 139 for sleep

“Lord, you search me and know me.

You know when I sit down and when I get up;
From afar you perceive my thoughts.

You know very well when I work
and when I rest;
all my ways
are well known to you.

Even before the word
reach my tongue,
you already know her completely, Lord.

You surround me, behind and in front,
and put your hand on me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful
