1. Do not be indignant because of evildoers, nor envy those who do iniquity.
2. For they will soon be harvested like grass, and will wither like greenery.
3. Trust in the Lord and do good; you will dwell in the land, and you will truly be fed.
4. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5. Commit your way to the Lord; trust him, and he will do it.
6. And he will make your righteousness shine like the light, and your judgment like the noonday.
7. Rest in the Lord, and wait for him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out cunning plans.
8. Leave anger, and forsake wrath; Do not be indignant in any way to do evil.
9. For evildoers will be uprooted; but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
10. For yet a little while, and the wicked will not be; you will look at its place, and it will not appear.
11. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight in the abundance of peace.
12. The wicked schemes against the righteous, and gnashes his teeth against him.
13. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
14. The wicked drew their sword and bent their bow, to strike down the poor and needy, and to kill those of upright conduct.
15. But their sword will enter their hearts, and their bows will be broken.
16. The little that a righteous man has is worth more than the riches of many wicked people.
17. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
18. The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance will remain forever.
19. They will not be ashamed in evil days, and in times of hunger they will be satisfied.
20. But the wicked will perish, and the enemies of the Lord will be like the fat of lambs; they will disappear, and they will go up in smoke.
21. The wicked borrows and does not pay; but the righteous has compassion and gives.
22. For those whom he blesses will inherit the earth, and those who are cursed by him will be uprooted.
23. The steps of a good man are established by the Lord, and he delights in his way.
24. Even if he falls, he will not fall prostrate, for the Lord will support him with his hand.
25. I was young, and now I am old; but I have never seen the righteous man forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.
26. He always has mercy, and lends, and his seed is blessed.
27. Depart from evil and do good; and you will have a home forever.
28. For the Lord loves judgment and does not forsake his saints; they are preserved forever; but the seed of the wicked will be rooted out.
29. The righteous will inherit the earth and dwell in it forever.
30. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom; his tongue speaks of judgment.
31. The law of your God is in your heart; his steps will not slip.
32. The wicked lies in wait for the righteous and seeks to kill him.
33. The Lord will not leave you in your hands, nor will he condemn you when you are judged.
34. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will see it when the wicked are rooted out.
35. I saw the wicked with great power spread like a green tree in the native land.
36. But it has passed and no longer appears; I looked for him, but he couldn’t be found.
37. Consider the sincere man, and consider the upright, for the end of that man is peace.
38. As for the transgressors, they will be destroyed together, and the relics of the wicked will be destroyed.
39. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is his strength in the time of trouble.
40. And the Lord will help them and deliver them; he will deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in him.
