Problems with We Transfer? The reason why you can't download files

WeTransfer is an Internet computer file transfer service based in the Netherlands. The company was founded in Amsterdam by Rinke Visser, Bas Beerens and Nalden. In October 2018, WeTransfer relaunched its app under the name “Collect by WeTransfer”. In May 2020, India banned the WeTransfer app, citing security reasons.

What is it? WeTransfer offers a free service where users can send up to two gigabytes of files, and a paid option, called WeTransfer Plus, where users can send up to 20 gigabytes of files. WeTransfer Plus also allows users to add passwords to files.

Can't download files? This is the reason.

Many users have reported through Twitter that they are unable to download videos or files from this page and have written to the pages. These have been their responses. “Hey Piotr, we have to update them manually on our end, so sorry if it's a little late. I promise we're humans here, not robots!” “Hi Juan! We are experiencing instability on our platform. We have received reports of transfers being processed slowly and delays in email delivery. We do not have an estimated time for when this will be resolved, but our teams are working hard on this. Thank you for your patience,” the page responded.
