He is the patron saint of animals and ecology, celebrated on October 4th. A prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi is famous for promoting spiritual cleansing and bringing peace, hope and enlightenment. It is also highly sought after for the healing and protection of dogs, cats, birds… It can be done at any time and day of the week, always believing in what you can achieve and with great gratitude.

What is Saint Francis’ prayer?

The famous “Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi“, also known as “Prayer for Peace”, suggests that love be taken wherever there is hate and that joy be brought wherever there is sadness. But it is not the authorship of the saint. According to research by French historian Christian Renoux, the first record of the text is from 1912, when it was published in the French magazine “La Clochette”, without a signature, and with the title “Beautiful Prayer to Say during Mass”.

The message of faith and hope gained further evidence when it was published in “L’Osservatore Romano”, a semi-official newspaper of the Holy See, in 1916, during the First World War. It was related to Saint Francis because it was printed a few times with his image, but the reason is unknown. Check out:
