I know it is important to always remember the joyful and happy moments we experience every day, so, Lord, come and rekindle these memories in my heart and the flame of love that keeps us alive and united, give us this grace.

Help me, Lord, to overcome the difficulties of daily coexistence, and to remember that we made the choice to share life together, until death do us part. Help me do my part to honor and keep my vows.

I know that many problems could be solved without regret, whether financial – problems of spending too much or saving too much, letting bills fall behind, buying without need – or emotional – the exaggerated demand for attention and demonstration of affection, the implication with common defects, the indifference, devaluation of others, prioritization of work or material goods. Everything becomes a reason for anger when we forget that we are united in God’s love. Free me, Lord, from these evils!

If I am willing to let the small disagreements pass, they mean nothing compared to the great blessings shared in our relationship.

Teach me to trust my spouse and God, in the most difficult times; and to love, in moments of disagreement; to remain silent in the face of verbal offenses and criticism; to believe; to resign myself to a look of accusation; to understand the other in the face of threats of abandonment and separation; fighting for marriage when the other says there is no more love, because, in God, love never ends.

Give me the courage and serenity to face situations and wisdom to seek solutions. Give me the grace to know how to forgive, and may all resentment be washed from my soul by Your redeeming blood.

Today, I discovered that the perfect marriage does not exist, and I want to learn to deal with imperfections from now on. I want to live every moment of my marriage fully, knowing that the relationship always needs encouragement and effort to see the other person’s qualities more than their defects. We got married to support each other and to overcome difficulties together that we were unable to face alone.

Thank you, Lord, for reminding me of all this, because I want to seek my reconciliation, put docility and respect in the relationship, because love only knows how to love. What we were experiencing was just an affection, a relationship, a collegiality, and not the marriage relationship that we committed to having in front of everyone, at the altar.

I ask, Jesus, to remove painful memories from my soul, to place Your angels in my house and expel from here all evil, all distrust, all aggression and misunderstanding, any and all evil forces. If anyone has wished any harm on us, to destroy our marriage, whether out of envy, black magic, spell or in any other way, I deliver it into Your hands, and may these people be blessed by You, just as I am. I want it to be my home.

“Lord, my great God, I come into your presence at this moment to place this couple’s life in your hands. Lord, we believe that marriage is an institution established by the Lord and it is His pleasure that we live a happy and fulfilling marriage. Therefore, believing in your word that says that ‘what the Lord has joined together, man does not separate’, I raise my voice at this moment against everything that is trying to rise up against the lives of this couple and I say:
