People will happen at the right time

I see my friends demanding that everything be rushed, wanting things to happen quickly in their relationships, but I’m not in a hurry. Who doesn’t know that she is the enemy of perfection? We will happen at the right time. And if the time isn’t right now, that’s okay. I’m not going to rush and want to skip the steps to actually get where I want. I will wait for the right time for everything and enjoy every moment I can.

It may sound silly or sound like a teenager in love thing, but I know it’s you.

I know it’s you I want to sleep and wake up with for the rest of my life. I know it’s your bad jokes that I want to hear every day. I know it’s because of your smile that I always want to smile. I know it’s your kiss, so slow and soft and calm that I want forever. I know it’s you, and I know it’s me for you too. I don’t know why people insist on thinking it’s only true when there’s a label in between.

It’s me you walk out on the street holding hands, hugging, and who always looks with a smile in your eyes. It’s me you call “my girl” to friends and protect from the world and all those who try to keep me away from you. I’m the one you call every night to tell me how your day was and what you did. I’m the one you turn to when you’re having a bad day and need to vent. I’m the one you say “good morning my love” every day. It’s me you can’t sleep without talking. I’m the one you count the days so you can hug, kiss or just not stop looking while you’re close. I’m the one who takes the most beautiful smile off your face when you get off the plane.

When they ask me about you, if we’re together, if we’ve come out, or if we’re going to see each other this week, I just smile and say: everything is fine between us. When they tell me that they saw you at a party, that a girl called you beautiful in that photo you posted on instagram or that you liked a photo of a girl on facebook, I just smile and say: it’s okay. I know how you feel and I also know you know how I feel. That’s enough for me now! We know that unfortunately it’s not the time yet. It could take a year, two, it doesn’t matter!

I decided to write you today because I missed you so hard that I couldn’t stand it.

I know that I’m far away now and that we haven’t seen each other for many months. But with each passing day, even distant, I’m even more sure that it’s you. I close my eyes and try to imagine that you are here beside me now. Hugging me, stroking my hair and making me feel like the most loved woman in the world. No matter how far away I am, you are always present in everything.

I know it’s hard, there are days I think I won’t make it. But your smile comes to my mind to calm me down. It seems that our ‘hour’ will never come. Even far away, we are together and inside each other’s hearts while waiting for the day when distance will no longer be a problem. And relax, love. I’m not hurry! My heart knows it’s you and we’ll happen at the right time.
